EGGSY UNWIN'S HAIR was naturally brown. That had been one of the many tiny details she noticed about him ever since she met him. She didn't need to know that he regularly dyed his hair blond, because, by the time the eighth, maybe ninth, week had rolled out, she noticed that the little brown roots sprouting out of his head hadn't been entirely natural.
Only now did she notice — while propped down on a chair, watching the telly, with her dog snoozing on her lap — that he'd dyed his hair once again. The little brown roots were no longer visible, instead, having pure blond colour taking its place.
No wonder he took long showers.
