"You look breathtaking" I smiled, seeing the blush that crept up to your face like it always does. After 3 years of dating, I was clueless on how you still managed to act bashful whenever I showered you with compliments; just how I couldn't believe how much my heart still flutters whenever I see your familiar rosy cheeks.
"Shut up" You mumbled, and I knew it was only because you were trying to hide your embarrassment. I clutched your waist tighter against my side as we strolled through the harbour, knowing how much you like it, and realising how much I love doing it.
I smirked, feeling you lean closer as you secretly smelled the musky cologne you got me last Christmas. I also nuzzled my nose on top of your head, catching a whiff of your unique scent, a smell that could never be replicated by perfumes nor colognes.
"I love you"
I froze. No matter how many times you said that phrase, it would always hit me the same way. Adoration spread through my chest like wildfire, consuming me from the inside out until I was left breathless.
"Say it again" I panted, caressing your cheeks before pressing a chaste kiss on your forehead. My fingers shook from resisting your lips, knowing that if I granted myself the act, I would not be able to stop.
That was what your phrase did to me.
"I love you"
"Again..."
You giggled as I peppered your face with kisses, oblivious to the internal war occurring inside my body.
"No more, not until you say it back."
Smiling, I halted our steps with a careful tug of your arm, urging you to look at me. You blushed once more, feeling the intensity of my gaze. I couldn't help it, I was an open book with you where even my eyes showed my infinite love.
"Come here" Instead of saying the words, I lead you over to pier deck. You scrunched your eyebrows in confusion yet followed me anyway

I sang, singing that lyrics of your favourite song of mine. The sound of waves lapping against the seashore, acting as the perfect melody.
You held my hands and placed it on your waist, then interlocking your arms behind my neck, we began swaying.
"Continue singing..."
"I prayed for this moment with closed eyes
I will embrace you, my lover's heart, slowly "
In that moment, with you against me, dancing under the stars, I knew that no one has ever lived loving someone as much as I love you.
