"There's something different about him now. He wasn't like this when we knew him."
The two Hales and Stiles were all in Derek's loft, Derek had been gone for a week and everyone was starting to question his whereabouts.
"What was he like?" Stiles asked, the two teens turning to face Peter.
"A lot like Scott, actually. A lot like most teenagers... unbearably romantic, profoundly narcissistic, tolerable really only to other teenagers." Peter answered closing the book he was reading, looking up to the two.
"And so what happened? What changed him?" Stiles asked, him and Cora becoming more interested in the conversation.
"Well, the same thing that changes a lot of young men... A girl."
"You're telling me some girl broke his little heart? That's why Derek is the way he is?" Stiles asked in disbelief, he thought something more dramatic would've happened.
"Do you remember Derek before he was an Alpha had blue eyes? Do you know why some wolves have blue eyes?" Peter asked him, causing stiles to look at Peter in confusion.
"I just always thought it was, like, a genetic thing." Stiles shrugged.
"If you want to know what changed Derek, you need to know what changed the color of his eyes."

Like most days after school, the young brunette sat tucked away in the music room as if it was a complete other world. Despite the basketball team practicing for their next game in the gym she was the only one in the school, the difference is that she knew they were there. Her fingertips pressed gently against the keys, the blue polish coating her nails stood out against the off white keys. While sitting in her own world concentrating on the music, she didn't notice that practice finished or that her phone was buzzing from the hundreds of texts her brother sent asking where she was.
In the hallway a young werewolf walked slowly down the corridor, clutching onto the basketball tightly. He knew he shouldn't of lost his temper at practice, he knew that he lost control, but he couldn't help it. His thoughts of his mother going crazy at him for nearly turning came to a halt as music came flowing into his ears. Stopping at the doorway of the music room, Derek opened the door slowly his eyes landing on the girl sat at the piano.
Derek knew her in some ways, he didn't know her name or that they have never had a conversation before, but he did know that she was one of his teammates sister and they share some classes.
Emilia jumped, the piano making a loud crash as her hand hit against the eyes , the werewolf in the room wincing at the sound. Emilia recognised him as soon as she looked up, Derek Hale, but everyone knew that he was one of the most popular people in the school and just so happened to be friends with her brother.
"Can I help you?" Emilia questioned, looking over to the boy stood in the doorway, Emilia was never shy and she she loved meeting new people but when it came to guys , especially hot guys, she tends to embarrass herself.
"Sorry, I just heard you playing from outside. I'm Derek." Derek answered, walking slowly into the room with a slight smile on his face.
"I know who you are."Emilia responded her eyes winding at how creepy she sounded, Derek smirked as he heard her heartbeat jump "uh, you're friends with my brother right?"
