As I turn back to the decorations I noticed something out the window. Someone.
He had on a black hoodie and dark denim jeans with sneakers. His head was down but I could tell he was looking at me. He had his hands in his pocket but quickly took them out to the side of him. He fisted his hands and released them with a slight fling, revealing claw-like nails that were almighty slightly longer than normal. He then started to walk towards the window.
I got scared and tried to back away even though it was impossible for him to get in. As I backed away I felt my feet stumble and my body begin to fall. I was falling off of a ladder I wasn't even on top begin with. Then, I felt my body hit a surface. But it wasn't rough. it was soft. Muscular-like. When I began standing up I heard a voice.
"Woah! I think you're supposed to look be fore you leap off a ladder to your doom."
It was Tyler. Thank Jesus.
"How did I get on that ladder?"
"... um, you climbed onto it?" Tyler replied with a small humph of laughter.
"What?!"
"Yeah. You okay?" Tyler remarked as if I was crazy or something.
"I wasn't even on a ladder last I remember!"
"...uh, Sarah, you're kinda scaring me. You sure you're not secretly a psychopath or something?" Tyler joked giving a smirk.
"Shut up." I hissed playfully.
"Hey just checking. Can't be too certain with someone like you. And being friends with Emily; I might as well hide in a drawer and eat the wood." Tyler joked with a smile.
"Oh please. I'm a charm. And doesn't someone need the keys to the supply room." I said walking towards the double doors a few meters away from me.
"Wh...Sarah! You didn't let me finish what I was saying! wait up!" Tyler yelled with his arms out to the side.
But I kept walking, and put my arm up in the air with the keys hanging from my index finger for a few seconds before putting my arm bask down to my side with my hand wrapped around the keys in a fist; my index finger still in the circular, metal key chain.
Tyler ran after me but tripped and grabbed my shirt, pulling me down with him.
"Woa!" I briefly said in shock of being pulled to the floor.
As I lifted my head I saw him-again. He was standing infront of me and threw something at me. It was a necklace, of some sort. It looked like silver, it reminded me of the moon's glow. Hanging from it was a silver cross with some type of wierd inscription on it. There were red vines wrapped all around it and they appeared to have some sort of life to them. But that was crazy. Right? There were three small scratch marks in the middle of the cross, and I guess it had to mean something, because you wouldn't find something like that on a necklace. But, then again, you would never find anything reasonale in my life either.
As I looked up to where was standing, he'd disappeared once again.
"Hey, you okay. Sorry about pulling you to the floor. My cat-like reflexes are just too amazing to stop." Tyler bragged as he stood up from the floor.
"Hey, cool necklace. I didn't know you were wearing it."
What?
"What are you-" I began. But I'd realized what he'd meant. The necklace was around my neck, hanging low.
"Oh. Yea." I responded with almost a black mind and nothing to say.
"Hey, did you see anyone strange around here?" I asked.
"Um..no. Why?"
"Oh nothing. I just..nothing.'
"Oookay then. We should probably get to the supply room before someone breaks a bone." Tyler joked.
"Definitely." I responded with a huff.
