Is This Goodbye

Andrew Walker

                   Sticks and stones may break your bones but words can never hurt you just about every kid has heard this once or twice growing up but your never told what to do when other kids stop using words and start using sticks and stones. My name is Andrew Walker or Andy if you would prefer and what I hate most in this world are bullies. 

When I was younger I was short and chubby which as you would guess made me a pretty easy target for bullying I've been attacked both verbally and physically by kids both my own age and older but since it began so early in my life I could never bring myself to fight back that was until 4th grade when someone stood up for me. I didn't have any friends but one day when I was being picked on at school this girl in my class walked up to me she put her hand on my shoulder and just smiled at me she then turned around and told the other boys to get lost they were shocked at first but soon walked away. 

The girl then looked back at me and introduced her self her name was Tiff, we started to hang out after that and those boys didn't bother me anymore so I was happy until I found out why they weren't, they found a new target, Tiff. I was walking to my class room when I saw her with the three boys that used to bully me one had her bag and was going through it while the other two were holding her back I saw a few tears escape her eyes and I lost it. 

I charged the boys I grabbed Tiff's bag and pushed the boy to the ground then I turned around and yelled at the other boys to let her go, they did before backing away the stood there in shock long enough for their other friend to get up and start running away they shortly followed him. 

That's the day I realized I didn't need to be afraid of bullies and after Tiff introduced me to her brother and their friend Rachel and the following year when we met Timmy I knew that as long as we all stuck together none of us would have anything to be afraid of well that was what I thought before we all got into high school.
