Is This Goodbye

The happiest of troubles

                   

                       Timothy's nervousness had gotten the best of him as he just sat there waiting for Rachel to begin what he saw as her interrogating him. "So why'd you do it." She asked and to Timothy's surprise all signs of her kidding had vanished. "Honestly I don't know but it just felt right, we weren't doing anything out of the ordinary but when I was holding her in my arms I've never wanted something more." Timothy started to smile at the memory not noticing Rachel who's jaw hold dropped open. "Whoa whoa whoa hold up you were holding her in your arms I wasn't told about this!" 

He was slightly embarrassed by her reaction, holding Tiffany wasn't a romantic gesture they had been in the same position when together with their friend after watching movies in the past so he decided he should make sure she knew the whole story before telling her anything else. It took about five minutes for Timothy to explain everything to her but at the end she was sitting with a big smile just staring at him which was beginning to make him nervous. Rachel noticed him getting nervous which made her smile a little more before asking her next question. 

"Alright so now I just have two important questions and if you avoid them or try to make any jokes I'll hurt you we clear." Timothy was caught off guard by how serious his friend was being and only gave a nod as a response signaling to her that he understood and she could ask. "You'r answers will stay between us so you don't have to worry about that but I need to know do you love her." He was unable to answer right away he's been wondering what his attempted kiss meant and the possibility of being in love had crossed his mind but could he really be in love without even realizing it.

"I've been thinking about it ever since it happened but the thing is I've never been in love and I've always been close with Tiff so if it is love that means I've been in love with her for years is that possible to be in love with the same person for so long and not even be aware of it." Rachel thought it over before responding. "Do you want to date her." Timothy was still thinking about his response to her first question and answered without even thinking. "I was thinking about it but I don't know now, I talked to Jason about how he would feel if his sister dated a close friend of his and even used myself as the example, he said if a friend did date her he wouldn't be able to be friends with the guy anymore." 

Rachel felt bad for her friend he was told he would lose his best friend if he dated his sister, but this told her everything she needed to know. "You said you didn't know if you were going to ask her out but think about this would you even think about risking your friendship with Jason for a girl that you weren't completely in love with." Timothy thought it over then a smile slowly crept onto his face but was soon replaced with a troubled frown, "Rach I'm in love with my best friend's sister" He dropped his head into his hands and Rachel just patted him on the back shaking her head with a smile on her face while thinking how interesting things were gonna get from this point on.
