Jackson wakes up from the surgery to see his beautiful parents, Alex and Tobin.

"How feeling buddy?" Tobin asks her son.

Jackson begins to cry, for reasons he does not know. He later concludes that it was because of all the weird medications they gave him.

"It's okay Jackson. You're all done." Alex says wiping his hair out of his face.

The 3 stay quiet for another minute until the doctor comes in. "Well I see someone's up." he says walking over to Jackson in the hospital bed. He checks everything and says it's okay for him to go home. "And remember....strict medication, ice cream, ice cream, and more ice cream." The doctors says smiling brightly, trying to make Jackson laugh. It works.....

Tobin pulls the car up outside the hospital doors and goes it to help Alex with Jack. The 3 come out, Tobin and Alex on either side of Jackson, who is still sleepy and cranky. They drive for about 15 minutes and then pull into their driveway. They help Jackson out of the car and into the house. When they walk in, all three see the smiling faces of Grayson, Hunter, Grandma Pam, and Grandpa Mike.

"How's our patient doing?" Pam says coming up to Jackson and rubbing his back.

"He's doing okay. Doctor said the surgery went normal and he'll need a week of recovery. " Tobin says, answering for her son, who could not speak.

"What's good is that you only have to go through this once, once their out, their out." Mike says walking up next to Tobin.

"True." Alex says looking at Jackson.

"We got you some of your favorite ice cream Jack." Hunter says from the kitchen. Tobin, Alex, and Jack all raise their heads to see a magnificent sight on the island in the center of the kitchen. There's cookies and cream, chocolate and vanilla, mint chocolate chip, and rocky road, Jackson's favorites.

"Yes, we hope it would make him feel better." Pam says.

"I'm sure it will." Alex says while leading Jackson to the living room couch.

Tobin and Alex gently lay Jack on the couch and step back and just, well, look at him. What else could a mother do?

Mike walks in the room and hands Jackson a giant bowl of Mint chocolate chip ice cream. The boy's smile widened so much when he had the bowl in his hands.

The adults, with Grayson and Hunter, go into to the kitchen to have dinner and talk about the day, leaving Jack to sleep. When Pam and Mike leave, and Grayson and Hunter go to bed, Tobin and Alex go to check on their son. He's asleep....

"He's so cute when he's sleeping." Alex coos while sitting next to her son.

"Yea.."Tobin says doing the same.

Tobin kisses the top of Jack's head and gets up. "Ready for bed?" Tobin asks her wife.

"Yea, I'll be in, in a minute." Alex yawns.

"Ya sure?" Tobin asks. Alex replies with a nod. Alex sits there, continuing to look at her son. She did that some times with her boys, watching them sleep. It's a mom thing I guess, admiring how much your child has grown. She thinks about the day she and Tobin brought the boys home. It was the best day of her life, aside from marrying Tobin. She remembers about moving and how it was a mountain, and how another mountain was her and Tobin retiring from the NWSL. Thankfully, they still get to play for their country. She thinks about today, about Jackson's fear of his surgery, about how it was just another bump in the road, and how they got thorough it together, as a family. She wouldn't trade her family for anything, even if that meant giving up her ability to play soccer. She's just thankful that her wife, he kids, and herself are all healthy and are enjoying life, together.

Through all this, Tobin comes back into the room, checking on her wife. She could tell he wife is in deep thought. She walks up to her, leans over the couch, and wraps her arms around her. Alex, who is so used to this, doesn't even move. "You alright babe?" Tobin whispers.

"Yea, just thinking." Alex replies.

"Again?" Tobin chuckles.

"Yea."

"Well I think too, in my sleep. It's called dreaming. Let's go to bed." Tobin says getting up, and grabbing her lover's hand. Alex kisses Jack's head, pulls a blanket over him, and follows Tobin.

Tobin sees Alex distress, so she tries to comfort her.

Tobin wraps her arm around Alex and whispers in her ear:"Everything will be okay baby."

And the two go off to sleep.

The End.
