Sorry he looks good there, but when does he not?

Luke's POV-

It was after school, and they were beating me up again. By they, I mean Tyler and his group of man-whores. This happened at least three times a week, no one knew, and I plan on keep it that way.

I was getting punched left and right. I felt something cold, metal hit my cheek. I assumed it was rings, after all they have used them before. I knew I was bleeding, I could feel it.

They brought me down to the ground and started kicking me. It hurt, I will say. But not as much as it used to. I'm used to this by now. It's been happening for a while.

They made me stand up so they could get a better target to my face. Someone hit my head. I don't know with what, probably a fist, but it didn't feel like it.. Probably a rock or something. They have done that a million times.

I heard a small voice say something along the lines of, "Back off" or something. I wasnt too sure, considering I was getting the shit beat out of me.

The punches and hits all stopped once she came over. Morgan Ross. I've known her for years, but I don't know if she knew me or not.

After people talking back and forth for some time, I heard someone say, "Let's go guys, we don't need to waste our time on her." I heard Tyler say. Finally, it's over.. For now at least.

"You alright?" She said to me. I noticed her looking me up and down, checking for any cuts or bruises. I wasn't quite sure why, to be completely honest.

"Doing quite fine," I showed a small smile to cover up the stinging sensation I'm feeling on my face, "why'd you come over and help me?" I questioned. I was genuinely confused. No one had ever stopped him from doing that.

"Well you looked like you needed some help, and I knew he would leave you alone if I said something, so why not?" She smiled.

She had a cute smile. One of those smiles you seen on TV. It reminded me of genuine happiness. It made me happy.

I heard a honk come from behind her, I looked up and saw Michael waiting in his car. "I have to go, I'll see you around Luke." She said to me.

She waved, and I waved back. Even that little gesture made me stomach do backflips and my cheeks turn to roses.

I got home late, I wanted to take my time. My home isn't always the loveliest place of them all. My family may seem happy all cheerful and friendly. But behind closed doors, it's not all kicks and giggles.

My mom is an alcoholic. She has been for years. It all started because of my dads affair. I don't know why he did it, or what in his right mind caused him to do that to someone he loves. But for some reason, their still together. My mom has had trust issues since and lashes out on him quite often.

Before I came home, I stopped by a little park. I've been coming here since I was little, it's kinda like my safe haven. I took some time to process what happened today. That was one of the first times we spoke. And it sure as hell did make me feel happy.

So I hope you guys liked this chapter, sorry it's kinda short.. writers block. But something will be happening within the next few chapters. Maybe with Ashton? Or Calum? Who knows, maybe even a new character. Anyway, I have said this before but this book will be getting slow updates. With school, family problems, and my depression, it will take some time to complete this book. Thank you for reading, I really appreciate it. I love you, have a great rest of your day. :)
