Morgan's POV

Michael had just dropped me off. Not just figuratively, mostly literally. He opened my door and threw me, causing me to fly out. But, of course I kicked him in the nuts.

I was walking up my driveway trying to find my keys in the depths of my backpack. Checking different zippers, rummaging through in between my books and papers. I could not find them.

"Shit." I muttered under my breath, as i tried to open my door. Of course, it's locked, like it should be. But I had hope.

I walked around the side of my house and opened the gate. Trying my windows and after many failed attempts, I walked over to my back door to see it was unlocked.

I walked in, setting down my backpack, only to see something I wish I never wanted to see again. My mother. My dad and her noticed me walk in, giving me a look as if we needed to talk. So I walked over.

"Morgan, it's so nice to see you again, how are you?" She said smiling and breaking the silence.
I looked at her as if she was a monkey covered in peanut butter dancing on top of a rainbow. (SORRY I THOUGHT IT WAS FUNNY).

"What do you mean, 'how have I been'? You left me and dad alone, you had an affair, you're an alcoholic and you did drugs. You can't just come here and act as if everything is okay." I replied, quiet annoyed, hurt, a mix of many emotions.

My dad spoke up, "Listen Morgan, me and your mother decided to try and work out our marriage. She has changed, she hasn't gone back to her old ways in months. We've been talking and we think this would be best for all of us, as a family." He smiled, as if he thought this was the best idea of all time.

"You're kidding right? After what she's done? Did you forget all the shit she's put this family through? The pain she's caused, the amount of issues she has created. I don't want her here. This is my house too." I remarked, trying to stand my ground although I knew it was no use.

"Well this is going to be best for us, and this is not your decision. Go to your room now, and watch your language." He replied sternly. I didn't want to get into an even bigger argument, so I left it and walked upstairs to my room.

As I entered my room, I could hear my parents talking. Most teens my age would think this is a normal occurrence. Not me. This is anything but normal.

I quickly changed into leggings and a sweatshirt and packed a bag for overnight. I'm not going to be here tonight. Who cares about the consequences anyways?

I locked my door and fluffed up my blankets and my pillows to make it look like I was laying in it, asleep. I carefully climbed out my window, onto the small roof that was outside of it, trying not to make a noise.

I slowly and quietly made my way down, and started on my walk to my other friends house, Leo. He had always been there for me, through my parents divorce, struggles, and issues. I quietly made my way over to his window, as it being late at night, and knocked on it.

He looked over, shocked but not confused as he knew it had to do with my mom, that's the only reason I come over. He came over to the window, unlocked and opened it, giving me a hand to pull me into his room.

"What's up?" He said, eyebrows knotted together in confusion and interest. I gave him a look as if to say I didn't want to talk about it, and he understood so he grabbed my bag and put it on the chair that was lined up with his desk.

I sighed and stuck my head in his pillows, breathing in his scent. I felt the bed dip, so I looked over at him and smiled. He smiled back and brushed my hair out of my face.

"Wanna watch a movie?" He asked me and that's what we did for the rest of the night, until we fell asleep, cuddled up in his warm blankets.
