Ok I need to rant about this. I am not against homosexuals, actually, I'm for them and they should be who they are and love who they want to love! It's the jerky homophobic people that I am against.
This all started at school yesterday. My dearest friend Nepetalemeow brought her brother's gay flag to school. Since my friends and I are not all straight (I'm bisexual) and are for homosexuality, we wore it like a cape. We even wore it at lunch in the lunch line.
Now this is where my rant comes in. We would walk by people, and they would make fun us. One said "There's only two genders!" One kid actually said "You guys are disgraces."
To which I retorted by saying "The only disgraces are the people that don't accept us!"
But it did not stop there.
As we sat down eating our lunch, Nepeta and Karkat (we call my friends that because they’re also into Homestuck) are still wearing the Gay Cape, which is what I now call it, and the same kids came up to us.
"Give me the names of the other genders," One of the kids said.
My friends and I just ignored them and continued eating our lunch. But he asked the same thing again.
"Give me the names of the other genders."
And we again ignored them and they eventually went away. But they still kept making fun of us.
I hate this type of bullying! And it’s not just for not being a heterosexual, but for skin color, ethnicity, and where you're from! Just because of all those things doesn't mean we're not all human! We all have feelings and families! But just because of your skin color, it makes you like a foreign species! But it doesn't! We have the same rights! We all have the certain unalienable rights! But just because of your sexuality, ethnicity, skin color, or where you're from, you don't get them! IT'S SO TERRIBLE AND INHUMAN I CAN'T EXPLAIN MY RAGE TOWARD THE PEOPLE WHO HATE ON IT!
And toward the people who are homophobic, just accept us. We are who we are and you can't change it. So cry yourselves a river, build a bridge, and get over it!
And p.s., the same kids were making fun of me today also.
