Chapter Twenty

 

Jin Young's Point Of View

I woke up from my sweet slumber of a landscape of grass and flowers. I dreamt of the boy again... I was glad that I did. I was so happy back then.

I turn my attention to the white tiled ceiling I was currently facing. The room was silent, all I could hear was the heater running above, up in the ceiling. I sat up on the bed and looked around the room. Almost everything was white, It was a clean hospital room. My eyes looked far from where I was seated so I had not noticed the boy sleeping on a chair with his head leaned against the edge of the bed until I called my attention to it. My hands touched his hair, causing him to get up.

Me: Baek Hyun...

Baek Hyun: Jin Young, are you okay? How do you feel?

Me: I'm okay! I think... What happened last night?

Baek Hyun: Err... you see...
Baek Hyun hesitated to answer.

Me: Where the man?

Baek Hyun: He got away before the police came.

Me: Where's Kyung Soo?

Baek Hyun: I'll tell you everything later... rest a bit first.

Me: Baek Hyun....

Baek Hyun: Please Jin Young....
Baek Hyun held my hand.

*His hands are so... warm...*

Me: (Sigh) okay then...

I laid back down into the bed with Baek Hyun's hands on mine. I drifted back to sleep.

*Flash back* In the café

Kyung Soo's Point Of View

As soon as we arrived the café, Baek Hyun went to the restroom to change into his work clothes as I was sitting with a drink.

While Baek Hyun was working, I just waited... specifically for Jin Young but she had not come yet. I tried calling her cell phone but, she wouldn't answer.

Baek Hyun: Kyung Soo-yah...?

Me: She won't pick up...

Baek Hyun: What? How long has it been?

Me: It's been almost an hour now. I'm going to go look for her.

Baek Hyun: O-okay....
Baek Hyun wore a worried expression.

Me: Don't worry Hyung I'll bring her back safe.

Baek Hyun: Yeah, I'll trust you with that.

I walked outside and it was already getting dark. I made my way to the school until I heard someone screaming...

"FU*K OFF! I DON'T KNOW!! AND SHE'S NOT MY MOTHER AND YOU ARE DEFINETLY NOT MY FATHER! JUST LEAVE ME ALONE!!"

*That's Jin Young's voice*

I started sprinting towards the source of the familiar voice which led me to a dark alley. Right when I arrived, I saw Jin Young with a man.

Me: JIN YOUNG!!

I went towards her to take her away but... the man hit me with something fragile but sharp and hard. I'm sure that I was a glass object such as a soju bottle.
