Chapter 23: The Trip

Chapter Twenty-Three

Jin Young's Point Of View

The news of a 3day field trip ran to my ears as the teacher made the sudden announcement.

Teacher: It's tomorrow. Don't forget to get here by 8am sharp. Now, class is dismissed.

Chattering immediately filled the classroom. Of course about the field trip.

I stood up from my seat and walked straight towards the classroom exit. That was until...

"YA! You! Come here!"

Of course it was Yoo Jin.

I turned around in response, waiting for her to command, nag, or complain.

Yoo Jin: I need everything by the field trip. Everything on the list... by tomorrow.

She didn't even give me time to respond. Her and her friends just walked by me bumping the side of my shoulder.

I whispered a few foul words and held my sore shoulder.

*Why does it have to be my bad shoulder?*

I found out that I fractured a small bone in my shoulder from that day... from that terrible terrible day.

Walking home i thought to myself...

*I guess i have to go to the field trip in this case.*

Yoo Jin's Point Of View

Me: Baek Hyun Oppa!!

I waved my arms trying to get his attention. Thankfully he noticed.

Baek Hyun: Yes Yoo Jin?

I quickly made my way to Baek Hyun and gave him a hug but he soon broke the hug. He just look down at my bear collar.

Baek Hyun: Yoo Jin-ah...

He sounded a bit serious.

Me: Neh Oppa?

Baek Hyun: Why don't you wear your necklace?

Me: Oh... um well...

I didn't know how to answer at the moment until...

Me: I... I just didn't want to lose it...

Baek Hyun: Oh.. I see. I still wished that you would wear it.

Me: I'll wear it then Oppa!

I took out the necklace from my pocket and then Baek Hyun helped me put it on. He stared at it for a while, making me nervous...

He had the puzzle piece pendent in his hands and turned it over.

Baek Hyun's Point Of View

I held the pendant in my finger tips and turned it over. There was a small carving.

Me: What does PJY stand for?

I questioned the carving and faced Yoo Jin in a curious face expression.

Yoo Jin: N-nothing! It's nothing!

Yoo Jin's voice shook making me feel uneasy for some reason.

Me: Why can't you tell me?

Yoo Jin: I-I uh... Oppa... Please it's nothing.

I just don't understand... She's definitely hiding something from me. I can totally sense it. Nothing ever seemed alright, ever since I found her.

*Why doesn't she remember me? About what we did? How we met?*

I let out a small sigh.

Me: I understand...
