Focus on What is Working

When you can't sleep, you toss and turn and try to get comfortable, only to find that the harder you try, the harder it is to fall asleep. Eventually, you might give up, get up, and watch television. Trying too hard often makes a challenge even harder because you wrestle with fear and you focus on what isn't working. But if you were to lie in bed instead, and focus on the comfort of your pillow, the coolness of the smooth sheets against your neck, and the warmth of your woolen blanket, you might fall to sleep pretty quickly. Stop focusing on something that isn't working in your life and focus on what is working.
