The Elf Mages

The Village

Cadence and Legolas ran away together. They walked for hours before they came across a little house in the distance which happened to be the house of Cadences uncle who swore not to tell anybody about the two of them running away and also supplied them with food, water and he even offered them a safe place to stay for as long as they needed. They only stayed one night then set off for a village which they thought was ten days away. Three days in they came across a women roaming around a field, they both recognized her from their childhood. After calling out to her the women ran up to them and hugged them tightly, she let go as soon as she realized they didn't remember her, so she explained. "I was the one who blessed you two with the powers of being elf mages" said the women. Legolas and Cadence finally remember the woman that they haven't seen in so many years. After they talked for a while she lead them to a little village hidden in the thick woods. The village wasn't an ordinary one, it was specially crafted for mages and elfs. This village is a safe haven for them because if anyone else found out about the elfs and mages they'd burn or hang them for using magic. Cadence and Legolas finally found a safe place to just be themselves "finally we're free from the secrets" Legolas said as he hugged Cadence "I know, I'm so happy" Cadence replied, hugging him back "aheem" exclaimed the women "if you two are done I can show you to your new house" she continued with a delicate tone "oh haha sorry" Cadence said, the women turned away and said "follow me I've had this house made especially for you two I hope you like it it's a little further than the rest but lots of space to practice..." she babbled the whole way there. When they arrived Legolas said "we can't accept this, it must have cost way too much money" the women turned to him, "it didn't cost anything" "really?" Cadence asked "yes, we used magic, it didn't cost a thing and, it took about a second to build" she replied, both Legolas and Cadence smiled embarrassed, "o oh yeah" they said. The women started walking away "I'll let you two get settled but meet at the fountain in five hours for your ceremony" she yelled over her shoulder, "for what?" asked Legolas the women said "for
your arrival, it has been awaited since the beginning of the the elfs and mages but I'll tell you guys more when it's time, see ya get settled" "okay, see you later"
