She opened her eyes, blinking twice before sitting up. Looking around she didn't seem to notice me sitting in the corner. I realized there was a bandage wrapped around her mouth, I can't help but wonder of what it's hiding. I move my hand to tap her back, trying not to startle her. She jumped and spun around, looking at me with wide eyes. I can't help but notice her eyes look awful cat like....

Hello I signed. She looked startled at first, seeing I knew hand language. She then seemed to gather her thoughts and started to sign back.
Explain.. please...
And that's when I told her everything, from how we got here to the group. About the freaky abilities people can have, everything.

Then, somewhere far away, a wolf howled.

Wolves are amazing creatures all said and done, and their howls are.. interesting things. I remember hearing them before, not sure when, but I know I have heard them. It's like when you walk into a room and can't remember what you went in there for. The strange part is these howls didn't sound, normal.

"Chase! Chase?!" Who's calling me?
"Chase..!" The panted, throwing open the door. There stood Leo, hunched over, breathing heavily. He looked up at me, seeming panicked.
"In a hurry?" I asked, grinning. Behind me Ellie started to get up.
Who's that? She signed, looking between me and Leo.
My names Leo, did Chase tell you about the others around here? Leo signed. Once again Ellie looked surprised at the fact someone knew sign language, but recovered fast. She sent a smile at him before signing,
Ellie. Your the dream dude right?
He looked at me
"I've never been called "the dream dude" before, but ya, that's me." He smiled.
"Joking aside, we gotta go." His smile slide from his face, replaced with a serious expression.
"What's going on?"I asked, standing up.
"It's them, the wolves have found us."

"So, have they been caught yet? Have my babies found them?" I asked eagerly, looking at my boss.
"Yes, they have been caught, calm down. I'm sure you wolves will make quick work of them." She looked at me, as if she was confused.
"Why are you wearing boys clothes young lady?" She glared at me, making me shrink back a little.
"I already told you, I'm a male today. I'm gender fluid, remember?" I didn't meet hers eyes, instead I looked at the tiles.
1 tile 2 tiles 3 tiles 4 tiles...
"Your still playing those childish games of yours?" I kept my head down. She sighed loudly. "How many times do I have to tell you Alex, you are a girl. Your not 'gender fluid' or whatever you call it. Stop with these games and grow up already!" She sighed again. "Just get out."
Nodding weakly I turned and left the room, allowing myself to look up and see the look of disappointment in her eyes. Walking through the cold concrete hallways, I allowed myself for once to let my mind wander into the dark area I call my mothers words. Somewhere far away I can feel my wolves thriving of my pain, and inflicting that pain on to others, like the demon they are, like the demon I am.

I'm going to join my pack in this fight, no matter what my mother tells me.
