Bill Pov;

The enemy didn't know that I was the mother of those two little girls. All they wanted was to kill and steal their full powers so that all of the Hekomï race would be at their mercy. Three of the children would become the highest ranking members of the next generation and their survival was a top priority to all who lived on Earth.

I looked over at the kids. The fake Adelaide looked over in my direction sending me a foul smile. She marched in my direction with a smug grin on her face.

"My father informed me that you're on our side, so you're going to have to help me get all of them out into the woods before any more reach full maturity!" She whispered to me. Her eyes seemed to turn red for almost a second before she turned back and skipped over to the children. I had to take a break in the mindscape in order for me to keep my emotions at bay.

I threw much of the things in my castle into disarray as the other members of the nightmare realm watched. A hand reached out for me pulling me out of my fury for a moment.

I turned to see my exhausted husband. His eyes droopy from all the baggage they were carrying. He had sensed my rage through our bond and he was using the last of his strength and power to access the nightmare realm to console me.

I took his hand and returned him to his mind. We walked down the halls of his mind in silence. Both of us in human form just trying to comfort the other. My husband was going on 35 years now, but he already had greying hairs and a face that held years worth of knowledge. That is likely what anyone else would expect from the keeper of knowledge, but I knew that behind the aging man was the boy I had fallen for.

I turned to face him taking his other hand in my own. He looked at me as I leaned forward and placed my lips on his. Ever so gently I started leading my husband in a dance that brought back many memories.

"What are we going to do?" He asked in despair as I gently spun him. His eyes twinkled with unshed tears as he took his turn leading me.

He was referring to this assertive species. They knew better than to alert the humans of their actions, but their every move oppressed the members of earth a little further. I imagined Gravity Falls before it was taken over and we were forced to escape to this jungle cottage.

This wasn't the life I wanted for my kids. Our children deserved better than this, Adelaide deserved better than this. I closed my eyes thinking about everything that had come to pass the last several days. A plan started formulating in my mind as I felt Dipper step away from me.

"Bill, what's wrong, what are you thinking about?" Dipper asked as I opened my eyes. His eyes were filled with fear and concern as he stared into my eyes.

"Nothing, I think I might have a way to end this war!" I murmured thoughtfully. Dipper put on his thinking face. The Keeper of knowledge had no idea what I was thinking.

"It's probably nothing I haven't thought of before." Dipper sighed as a bench appeared for us to sit in.

"Do you know where any of their bases are?" I asked pointedly. He looked into my eyes realizing then and there that I was hiding something.

"What do you know?" Dipper asked while poking my shoulder. His eyes were watching my every reaction as he looked at me.

"Can I have a list of the Hekomï security codes, specifically for the council network?" I asked while draping an arm over his shoulder. His eyes narrowed for a moment debating as to what his response should be.

"Yes, what purpose would that serve, if you think we've been hacked I assure you the codes are regularly changed and scrambled to ensure no one can access vital data." Dipper told me after staring at me for a long moment of silence. If we had not been in his head I likely wouldn't have seen the torrent of thoughts running through his mind.

"May I have access to them please?" I asked as I looked at him with a pleading look. His smile faltered for a moment as his mind provided possibilities and outcomes for what I might do.

"Only if you lock them away in your mind so that not even another dream demon can access them." Dipper spoke with certainty an assurance as he created a list which held rotation currents.

He had provided me with access to the council's network alone. My eyes identified and memorized the current and next several codes for the following week. Especially the code for tonight. I lit the sheet on fire and watched it burn afterwards. Dipper flinched lightly knowing that what he had done technically was treason.

"Thank you my Pinetree, you won't regret this." I promised before leaving his mind and returning to the yard where the kids were bickering once more. We only had one shot at this.

I called the children over and used the secret hand symbol with the imposter Adelaide. The imposter nodded and disappeared into the house to prepare to lead them into the woods as I guided the kids into the treehouse.

My only fear was the cost that winning this war might bring us.
