Bill Pov:
I had feared leaving the kids to defend themselves, but I had placed a special protection around them so that they could not be harmed for at least an hour. I slipped inside the compound that I had first been taken to. This appeared to be the main Enick base as there was a greater population of Enicks around this area than even in Gravity Falls.
I entered the same hall that led towards my daughters cell. When I reached her door I was nervously fiddling with the key which I had stolen. With a quick glance from left to right I opened the door and looked inside.
Besides a splatter of blood along the entire floor and sinking into the ruffled sheets of the bed; the room was empty. I quivered fearfully at the scene in front of me. My daughter was not here I became visible and took on my human form as I carefully entered the cell.
The blood was fresh as I felt the wrinkled linen. A sob escaped my mouth at the terrible thought that my angel had been harmed. A light buzzing in my ear caught my attention as a beautiful hummingbird became visible in front of me.
She was larger then any normal hummingbird I had ever seen, but what caught my attention the most was the lack of a second eye. The one eyed hummingbird hovered in front of me with grace as we stared at one another. Hummingbirds were believed to be able to fly so fast that they could travel among the living and the dead.
I reached my hand out towards the bird and she shook her head before transforming. In front of me appeared my beautiful little angel in human form. She pulled me into a happy hug as my eyes spotted the large wound around her neck. Her hummingbird Hekomï mark was glowing as she looked at me.
She had entered her demon form to keep herself from dying. This meant that she was my first born, and that she would be the next gold keeper. My eyes twinkled with pride for my baby girl before I remembered our time was dwindling. A beautiful hummingbird eye patch was forming over her now missing eye.
"We've got to end this war now!" I told her as I helped her up. The wound around her neck was slowly closing as she looked at me.
"I know mom!" She replied, her voice sounded far more angelic then ever before. I was fortunate to have ever had a child as special as her. She took over leading me through the halls as though this were her plan and not my own.
Pride enveloped me as she led me to the main communication room and signalled towards a panel. I stepped towards it and accessed all the information I could on the Enicks. My human heart was racing as I typed the codes into the Hekomï council database and hit send.
I turned around to face Adelaide who nodded to me. Our part in all this was now complete. Her neck now held a prominent scar but her face carried a confident look of assurance as we exited the control room and returned down the hallway.
Andrea Pov:
After I took out the fake Adelaide the enemy rushed towards us like savage beasts. We couldn't be harmed, but it was still quite frightening as their guns pointed at us.
We acted surprised and scared as they surrounded us. Several muscular figures stepped out and reached for our arms. Naturally we fought to avoid their grasp. I shot a couple warning shots at them, but part of the plan was to fake defeat.
It wasn't hard for them to pull our shoulders back and force us to walk towards the waterfall. My gun was taken from me with contempt. They pushed a button and a door appeared revealing a large entrance.
I gulped lightly as they forced us down a colourless hallway. Their eyes tore into our very souls as we hung our heads in fake defeat. I felt a layer of exhaustion fall over me as I suddenly struggled to keep my head high.
I glanced over at Dominic who was nervously fiddling with his bronze Aries Hekomï mark. I worried that if he continued doing that he would preemptively activate his Hekomï form.
Our attention was claimed by a loud thump to my left. Desmond had collapsed and was now groggily standing up. The Enicks surrounding him started signalling something to one another almost in excitement as they watched him.
My cousin's eyes were struggling to stay open as he continued his effort to keep walking. Fear rippled down my spine at the terrible realization that our plan might be foiled. Perhaps the reason for our obvious drowsiness was the result of some drug in the air. Then again Dominic didn't appear effected.
"Take this one to the extraction room, these two are almost ready!" A booming voice ordered snapping the three of us out of our thoughts. They separated Dominic from us and started dragging him away against his will.
"Why are you doing this?" I shouted signalling to my cousins to get ready. Though we were still tired I could see Desmond stand taller and Dominic was able to get a solid foothold along the rough ground. The man who had given the original order stepped forward and opened his mouth to speak.
"Nevermind!" I snarled before stabbing him in the chest with the knife I had stashed in my sweater. After my gun they really should have checked for more weapons. The man fell to the ground with a heavy thud; his face permanently locked in that state, his eyes glazed with shock.
My cousins quickly revealed their weapons as the other Enicks recovered from their shock. They started charging for us in all directions as we lashed out and fought using all the survival lessons we had ever been given. In the middle of all this Desmond collapsed again and did not get back up.
