Chapter 2

Josh was very surprised to see her here. She was supposed to be in the bathroom. Maybe she lied to him. Maybe she was a hysterical fan who wanted to go in their green room to do who knows what. Even if she didn't look like that. He was just being paranoid. She stressed him so much.

He noticed he was still when Tyler pushed him in the little crowd. Tyler didn't know why his best friend was acting so weird but he will figure it out. He looked at the only people he didn't know; a young girl. She was talking with a blond guy that Tyler had already seen once or twice before. His name was something like Cam or Ethan. It was a security guard and he remembered that he was already here last year, when Josh and he played in this venue and in other France's venues. Surely, the girl was one of his friend. He took his time to observe her while he was joining Jenna. He would have been able to find her beautiful if he wasn't already married to the most wonderful woman of the world. However, he couldn't deny that she looked pretty. She seemed gentle, almost vulnerable with her freckles and her tiny and shy smile. But when Tyler saw her eyes, he understood that she wasn't vulnerable at all and that she was strong. And smart. He could tell just by seeing her gaze. But she had a little thing, something which attracted him, which made him curious. He could guess she was dealing with some issues. He had this feeling and he always knew when people were not truly happy. He felt instantly the desire to go to her to help her. But he didn't know her and he wasn't comfortable with strangers, so he stayed next to Jenna. He held her hand and listened to her talking with others.

Josh was still petrified. He had not noticed Debby who was congratulating him for the show and was talking about some stuffs. He couldn't help staring at the unknow girl. He was fascinated by the way she moved, or talked, or smiled. If he could call that a smile because her lips were barely moving and her "smile" was not reaching her eyes. She looked beautiful though, even if she wasn't truly smiling.

Tyler noticed his friend was obsessed with the girl. As both Josh and Tyler didn't know what to do, Tyler whispered in Jenna's ear, making her a quick summary of the situation because his wife was the friendliest woman in the world. She will find a solution. Jenna glanced at Josh, then at the girl. She ended her talk and came closer to the girl and her friend, holding on Tyler's hand who gripped Josh's hand to make him follow them.

"Hi" begun Jenna once she was next to the girl. "I'm Jenna, Tyler's wife. This is Tyler and this is Josh, and I never saw you before, are you new in the crew?"

The girl watched Jenna, then Tyler, then Josh.

"Oh. No. I'm... I'm Liam's friend actually." She replied, pointing out the guy next to her.

"Liam! That's it!" Tyler yelled. "I couldn't remember your name, but I do know you, is that right?"

"Yeah, I was present last time you toured in France. It's nice to see you again guys, you were incredible this night!" He said, very happy to be here. "Err... Is that okay I brought Nikkie with me?" He asked, gazing at the girl fondly.

Josh gasped. So, her name was Nikkie. He looked at her, mute and she looked back at him which made his heart flinched.

"Sure! Nice to meet you!" both Jenna and Tyler answered at the same time.

"Me too." She affirmed with a little smile, without stopping to look at Josh.

"Weren't you supposed to be in the bathroom?" Josh asked then he bit his tongue horrified. Did he really say that aloud?

He blushed as everyone looked at him. He panicked so he said shit. Great. Well done.

"Well Mr. Spy Guy, I was looking for the bathroom because Liam told me he was there but I found him on my way. So, to answer your question, no I was not supposed to be in the bathroom" she told him with an amused smile.
