Josh was dumbfounded. He never could have imagined she was fiancé. Of course, she was gorgeous with her beautiful eyes and her cute freckles but she was... Well, she was her. A little tough. He blinked when Tyler shook his hand in front of him. Tyler had seen the ring too.

"You're engaged!" He exclaimed with enthusiasm. "You didn't tell us. It's great. Who is the lucky winner?"

The girl turned pale then blushed. She glanced at her ring and hid her hand behind her back. She looked so ill-at-ease that Tyler felt the same. Did he say something wrong? His stomach twisted with anxiety while Nikkie was looking away. Something was wrong with her. Tyler observed her with attention, trying to find why she was so stressed out.

"Um... I... Yes, I am." She whispered almost with shyness.

Tyler decided to leave her in peace for now. He must get himself ready for the show and he already felt stressed so he didn't want to worsen his stage fright with Nikkie's case. He had to do vocal exercises, to paint his hands and to insure himself that all was okay. Fortunately, Jenna and Debby appeared. They waved at Nikkie who waved back and Jenna kissed Tyler on the cheek. He felt a little better with his wife in his arms. Debby gave a knock in Josh's shoulder which made him smile.

"Guys, you should go. We'll stay with Nikkie and don't be scared we won't bother her." Jenna said before she hugged Tyler.

"I'm not afraid for her but for you." Tyler taunted Nikkie.

Nikkie pouted a little but she eventually smiled while the girls laughed. Tyler and Josh left and the girls brought Nikkie in the green loge. Nikkie felt uncomfortable. Jenna and Debby were the nicest girls she ever met but it's been a long time since she rubbed shoulders with other people. Maybe staying was a bad idea. She could still leave. She bit her lips and sat on a couch next to Debby.

"Okay. Tell us... Do you prefer Tyler or Josh?" Debby asked.

"Debby!" Jenna exclaimed." Don't bother her. You don't have to answer to this."

"There is nothing to answer, I don't know them very well so I can't choose." Nikkie answered, very embarrassed.

Obviously, it was a bad idea to stay. She started to play with her fingers. She wanted to draw to fill her hands and her mind. She was not ready for socialization.

"But physically, you may have a fondness..." Debby murmured in a confident tone.

"What!? Oh, that is awkward." Nikkie said, blushing.

Was Debby serious? How could she ask her that? Tyler was married with Jenna and Josh was dating Debby. This question was inappropriate. Plus, she was herself engaged. Sort of.

"Indeed. I won't lend my Tyler to anyone." Jenna protested and both other girls giggled.

Once the ice was broken, Nikkie felt better. She talked with the girls and learned some anecdotes about Twenty-Øne Piløts. Actually, she was having a good time. She had forgotten how much being with nice people could be pleasant. Jenna and Debby were great. She could have been friend with them if they hadn't been celebrities. After this night, she will never see them again so she couldn't afford to become attached to them. Tyler and Josh joined them and started to get ready for the show. The atmosphere was easy-going and Nikkie didn't have to make a lot of efforts to seem happy. It was easy to smile, to speak a little when someone asked her something. But she didn't fooled Tyler. He knew something was wrong. He didn't tell anything yet. Josh was spaced out and it worried his friend. Tyler hoped he will get a hold on himself for the show. But Josh was thinking about Nikkie. He couldn't help. He thought he was pathetic to be so obsessed with her. He had to forget about her. He left the room to go on stage to practice on his drums.
