Chapter 16-The Invitation
***Daniel's POV***
*knock knock*
"Come in" I call.
The door opens and in comes John and Shawn trekking in my office.
"Hey Danny-"
"Don't call me that Shawn" I snapped agitated. Don't get me wrong, I'm not agitated because of Shawn. I'm agitated because of the recent loss of a pack member. Georgia.
"Sorry Daniel but you've got mail" Shawn replied putting emphasis then needed on my name.
"Thanks Shawn" I say and standing up and snatching the letter out of his hands then sitting back down on my comfy, black, leather rolling office chair.
I looked at the envelope, it was a vintage envelope with a wax stamp seal in the color red. The seal proclaimed the sender / writer to be a vampire. No wonder why the envelope was so vintage and old like.
Turning the envelope I am greeted by black ink written in cursive. Wow now this is one old letter. I look at the top left hand corner, the writer was the second oldest and most sinful vampire known to mankind.
The one and only...
Jared Smith
He's the first vampire to turn so he's pretty strong. The best of the best hunters have been hunting him for five years with no luck. Just coming back from the mission was luck, but to the hunters it was shameful for not being committed. He's broken so much super natural laws that they just categorized him under,
MOST WANTED KILL ON SIGHT WITH OUT HESITATION
with a set of instruction like rules.
DO NOT INTERROGATE
BURN BODY UNTIL HE IS ASH
DANGEROUS
SPECIAL WEAPON USE IS RECOMMENDED AND ADVISED
To answer a floating question, yes we super naturals have rules too. To be sure of that the council advises that. The council men and women are also the people who send hunters out. Now don't get the wrong idea.
The council isn't only hunters. The council consists of a wizard, a vampire, a werewolf, an angel and two hunters. Everyone there has a purpose in the council, yet they also represents their supernatural category.
The wizard, Jack, represents the wizards, sorcerers, witches and fairies. Jack basically represents the magic involved super naturals.
The vampire, Carter, represents all the vampires, and sometimes the rare blood suckers come along and he represents them too.
The werewolf, Cameron, represents all the werewolves, werecoyotes, werecats, and well, you get the idea. Basically long story short, Cameron represents all the shape shifters.
The angel, Athena, represents all the light angels, dark angels and demonic beings. Plus the demons, Sun God and Moon Goddess.
The hunters, Shailene and Theo, represent all the hunters and humans. They are also there to keep things under control.
Back to reality. I open the letter and take out the paper inside. The paper was hand written in cursive symbolizing the fact that this letter is very urgent.
"So what does the letter say there?" John asks from the couch.
"Well I haven't read it yet" I respond lazily.
"Whyyy do you take soooo long all the time." Shawn whines with a groan.
"Oh be quiet. Would you." I reply
Blocking his childish behavior and ranting. I read the letter
Dear Alpha Daniel,
I have requested assistance to come with me as guards when I am attending the Super Natural Ball. It has come to my attention that I'm being severely hunted now. It has also come to my attention that your pack is the strongest pack on the Earth. I am requesting that you, your Beta and Gamma come to the Ball as my guards. Please RSVP as soon as possible.

"Well boys get the girls ready" I say
"Why?" Shawn and John in unison
"We my boys are going to the Super Natural Ball." I say
Groaning they both stood up from the couch. John walked normally to the door while Shawn started to do a childish march stomp to the door.
"But" I say causing both figures to stop moving and turn around facing me.
"As Jared Smiths guards"
