Chapter 9

Amber's POV

After my crying section in the woods, the pack and I came back and started the barbecue .

My dad was actually helping a lot with everything. I guess he feels bad that mom didn't want to take part in it so he feel like he should help out or something like that.

Since we arrive home, I haven't seen mom. I guess she didn't want to face me after what she said, or after what she hear through the mind-link.

I was currently in the kitchen with Sara and some other cooks making corn bread when I felt two hands around my waist. I quickly turned around to see a smirking Jacob. I wrapped my hands around his neck and gave him a kiss and everyone in the kitchen started to giggle.

I buried my red cheeks into Jacob's shirt.

'Are you blushing?' Jacob asked me through our mind-link. I could literally hear the smirk of satisfaction in his voice.

"Shut up!"

"I think we have something to discuss." He told me with a firm voice

I sighed because I knew exactly what he was talking about. He was talking about how I didn't inform him that we were going to war.

"I didn't want you to worry or try and talk me out of it" I finally said out loud and the entire room got quiet.

"Yes I understand, but I had a right to know!" He shouted back at me. 

My wolf doesn't really like when people shout at her and try to boss her around. I unintentionally let out a loud growl and I saw Jacob's and everyone else's  eyes widen.

"Can we please talk in my office, now ." I said in my Alpha voice.

Jacob followed me into my office and took a seat. Before I could say anything, Jacob spoke.

"The growl was uncalled for don't you think?" I would hear the sarcasm in his voice.

"Yeah sorry about that, it just came out, I really didn't mean for it to happen."

He let out a long sigh. "I still would have like if you would have told me about the war."

I sighed. "Jacob, I'm sorry, if I have to make any decisions from now on, I will consult with you first alright?"

He let out another long sigh and shook his head. "I wanna say sorry for shouting at you, I really didn't mean it either."

I looked at him. "So, are we good?" I asked with a small smile.

He let out a huge one a shook his head. "Yeah, we're good."

I let out a breath that I didn't know I was holding. I took up and gave him a peck and we both walked out of my office to help the rest of the pack with all the work.

Jacob's POV

I did the best fake smile every and shook my head. "Yeah, we're good."

She gave me a peck and we both walked outside.

I can't believe she made that huge decision without me! Her third in command!

"Dude you're so whipped and she's not even our mate!" My wolf stated.

"Now is not the time!"

"Alright I'm sorry!" He yelled back sarcastically.

Agggh...

She was right, I would have tried and stop her. Not because it was dangerous, she's one of the strongest Alphas I've ever met. No one could touch her.
