"I had fun tonight." I told Harvey.
"Yeah." he mumbled, focusing on my crown. Harvey and I had won the prom king and queen titles. He took it off my head and placed it back, this time crooked. "That's better."
"Your'e one of the best things that's happened since sliced bread, Alyssa. Nobody can replace you." he told me.
"I know." I joked. He laughed and gave me a light kiss on my forehead. I waved goodbye and ran up the steps to the door. I opened it and walked into the living room. I saw the unimaginable. My dad was on the couch, with a latina girl.
"I'm so happy that I found you... Our child will be as beautiful as you." he soothed the girl, clearly not noticing that I was there. He looked up and saw me standing there, his face turning pale with dread. "How long were you there?" he asked.
"Long enough..." I mumbled. I ran out of the house, slamming the door behind me. I called my mom and broke the news.
