The crowds started to walk in droves toward Mount Kobushi.

The air was filled with a buzz like never before. People had driven from Gunma to see Ryosuke. High School Girls and racing fans spread from all over Saitama and Gunma had came to see the fight of the month.

News of the Evo's speed and nimbleness had spread. There were youngsters in their classrooms in Saitama City, daydreaming about that blindingly fast Emerald Green Mitsubishi that they had heard about.

As the Blue Jets rolled down the street towards Kobushi, a couple of locals of Saitama City who supported their home team cheered. 

"Hey David, looks like your city is cheering for you." Riku said sitting next to David as he drove. 

David smiled and said,"I like my city too." 

Many of the young women who had came to see them race were either admirers of Ryousuke similar to Mako, or young women who David had helped working as a Doctor.

The man who stood out like a sore thumb was Mr. Yasuga. Who came dressed in his hospital suit, and sat in a portable chair holding a beer. "Yeah go Blue Jets!" He cheered with the crowd.

"Yeah go Blue Jets!!" "We love you David!!" One young woman screeched. 

Mako parked her car near the finish line. Sayuki got out. "Christ man, look at those hotties." A man pointed out saying to his friend as Mako and Sayuki got out of the Sileighty.

"Hey Mako." 

"What?" 

"Who do you want to win?" 

"Oh uh... I don't know." 

"I want David to win, I still owe him a date. I can't wait till he calls me!" Sayuki said watching the Blue Jets drive up the mountain.

"I think I want David to win." 

"That's the spirit!" Sayuki said. 

"Hey! Don't think Ryosuke Takahashi doesn't stand a chance! He's really good." Mako said.

"We'll see who crosses the finish line first." Sayuki told her friend smiling. 

As David drove up the mountain, he tossed out a rose to a group of young ladies near a corner. They young women screeched and fought over it.  "It's mine!!" "He threw it to me!!" "No me!!"

"Hey David, save some for us." Riku joked sitting next to David. David smiled. 

"I only have an eye for one woman." 

"Who?" Riku asked. 

"We'll talk about it after the race." David reassured.

As they reached the top David noticed Mr Yasuga sitting in a portable chair sipping beer. David chuckled. "What?" Riku asked. "Nothing."

The crowd seemed to have been smaller as you went to the top. David spoke up,"These people are getting it wrong, the result doesn't matter if you don't see how the result was made."

"Too right." Riku said.

"Hey Riku?"

"Yeah David?"
