I was taking my little brother and his friend fishing down at the neighborhood dock. You had said earlier in the day you'd like to come along so I texted you. A few moments later you were walking along side me as we went down the road.

After an hour of fishing the little boys dragged my sister back to the parking lot to hunt toads. Which left you and me sitting next to each other in the dark. Watching the trees sway and listening to the slight splashes of water.

You smiled at me and layed down to look at the stars. I did the same. In a wonderful silence we lay there, close by, watching the stars. Eyes meeting every once in a while. It was simple. It was perfect.

Then the little boys came running back screaming like girls.
