The loud bell awakened me from my sleep.

"Okay class, let's continue our topic tomorrow." Mr. Foster said while all the students gathered their stuff and exited the room.

I rubbed my sleepy eyes and shoved my books in my bag and exited as well.

I walked through the hall with pile of other students crowding to each other to pass through.

When I finally reached my locker, I unlocked it and put most of my books in and slammed it close.

I came to the parking lot because I remembered I had to meet Darren where my car is parked, flat.

I passed through lots of other students with their friends and laughing with each other.

When I finally arrived to my car, I saw Darren leaning on it and looking at my direction.

When I came closer to him, he smirked and I just rolled my eyes.

"I knew you wanted to see me." he pushed himself off my car.

"Excuse me? Weren't you the one wanting to fix my car?"

"But I didn't expect you'd agree." his smirk only became even wider.

"Whatever. Just get on with it." I pushed him a little and he chuckled.

"Em?" I recognize that voice anywhere.

I turned to him and smiled. "Hey, Jake. What are you doing here?"

He looked quite disappointed when he looked behind me, which was where Darren was. "I just wanted to check on you."

"I'm fine. No need to worry." I smiled at him but his attention was completely to Darren giving him a death stare.

"So, wanna ride with me?" he looked at me but I can see he was a bit angry.

"Well, umm.. Darren was just gonna fix my car and I was supposed to be waiting for him.." I said unsurely if what I said was right.

"Oh." he looked really hurt and I felt really bad.

"I'm really sorry! I just really miss my car, that's all." I smiled at him again.

"No, its fine. Just be careful." he gave a death glare to Darren and turned his back and walked away.

I sighed in relief and turned my back to face Darren.

"I'm sorry bout that. I don't really think he likes you with me."

He smiled which made me drool. "Its cool, best friends can be jealous too."

My jaw fell. "No! He wasn't jealous, he was just acting like my brother and does what brothers do; feeling uneasy when they know their sister is with a guy."

He rolled his eyes. "Whatever you say, Emily."

After Darren fixed my tires, he drove me home and got home as well.

I have to admit, he was a really nice guy. We kept talking and talking and it was like forever. With all the time we had with each other, we got know more about each other as well.

He was the kind of guy every girl would be dying for; he was funny, sweet, understandable, sensitive, and handsome. Really really handsome.

I got Maxwell to take him out for a walk. I carried him with one hand and got his leash on my desk.

I exited my room and ran downstairs. I opened the front door and shouted to my mom, which was in the kitchen. "Hey mom, I'm taking Maxwell for a walk!" when I heard her yell an 'okay' to me, I got out and walked Maxwell at the sidewalk.
