Scene 2

(Scenery: Outside of Melissa’s house; Delilah; Delilah is doing her job, she is walking down the street to deliver the mail to Melissa; It is a drafty shack, she is the only one who lives there as all the homeless people have mysteriously been suicidal)

(Delilah walks towards house, knocks on door)

Delilah

Yoohoo! Miss McCarthy! I have an envelope that you need to sign for, because it needs your signature!

(waits, knocks on door again)

Delilah

Ahem! Miss McCarthy? It’s rather rude to not answer the door!

(looks in window)

Delilah

Could you please wake up from your nap and sign for the envelope? It needs a signature, so you kind of have to sign it for the signature.

(Looks in window again, face expression is shocked)

Delilah

Oh. Oh! OH!! I-I don’t believe she’s alive…She might even look dead.  Either that or she’s in a rather deep sleep. Just like my cousin, Nikki. She always sleeps like the dead, never seems to wake up for anything! Rather strange… Anyways I should call the police!

(Delilah reaches for her belt)

Delilah

Oh wait, that’s right! I don’t have a phone. Does somebody have a phone? Then again, why would they? They can do serious brain damage. Perhaps I should find a booth. Oh I know! There’s one next to the Fizzy Shore shop! I’ll just stop by and call… Was it the Fire Department? I don’t see any smoke or flames…

(Delilah runs off stage R, curtain closes)
