You know how that feeling in your stomach when you're on a rollercoaster is often referred to as 'butterflies in your stomach'?
I'd feel them too, whenever I was with him. We were on a rollercoaster ride of our own. But it all ended too soon and all those butterflies that were once there, are now dead.
