It's You

Chapter 9

Y/N'S POV

I was so nervous when I went to the address where my Lauren is. I knocked on the door multiple times I thought there was nobody inside but after a minute the door opened and I saw Lauren. We were both shocked. I can't believe that my childhood sweetheart slash my first love is in front of me.

"Y-Y/N, what are you doing here?" Lauren asked me but instead of answering her question I walked closer to her and kissed her. She pushed me away. "I'm sorry, I didn't meant to force you, let me explain Lauren." She let me in and we sat on her couch.

I told Lauren about the girl I kissed in the park fourteen years ago.  The searching I did and my love for her. "What about Camila? You two are married." She looked down and I hold her hands.

"We will file a divorce paper. I can assure you that Camila will never break us apart, again. I hugged really tight. Then I tried to kissed her again but she refused. She's really different from any other girls out there.

We ate dinner together, We talked and I'm so happy but I can't help but think about Camila, I don't know why. I still want to talk to Lauren but she said she's tired. "I love you so much Lauren." I told her before we sleep but Camila's face suddenly flashed on Lauren's face in front of me and I was suprised so I hugged Lauren.

"It's easy to say the word  'I love you' Y/N, but you can't fool your heart." I looked at her. "Sometimes Y/N, the person we've been looking for is right in front of us but we can't see it because we're making ourselves blind."

Ever since I came here to this house, I feel like Lauren is avoiding me. I think she still not feel secured because I'm still married to Camila. Well, it's about time that I should start to supervise our divorce paper. In the same day Lauren went to buy some supplies and  said she will be back.

It's been hours since Lauren left when suddenly there's a knock on the door. I didn't expect anything or anyone because first, no one knows I am here and second Lauren didn't told she has any visitor. So, I answered the  door and saw a girl standing.

"Uhm, what can I do for you?" We stared at each other.

"Is Lauren there?" the girl asked. I became curious, who is this girl and why is she looking for Lauren? "Who are you? and why are you asking if Lauren is here?" I went out the house and face her.

"I'm Lucy Vives, Lauren's fiancé . You must be Y/N. I see Lauren haven't told you." she said and I can't believe what she said. WHAT THE FUCK IS SHE SAYING? FIANCE? IS SHE INSANE? I was about to fight with her but suddenly Lauren came. I think she's also shocked to see this Lucy girl.

"Y/N, let's talk inside" Lauren looked at Lucy  then me "No, Lauren. Explain everything." I fist my hand because I feel like an idiot being played. "Please calm down Y/N. Let's talk inside, please." I don't know what is happening. I SHOULD feel angry towards them! but instead I feel so happy that they are playing with my feelings.

The three of us sat down on the couch. I don't know how to feel about this, about what is happening. The whole house was in silence. Until Lauren broke it.

"Y/N I'm sorry, I played with your feelings. I love Lucy. That's why I went to Brazil because of her. We're getting married." I looked at them intently. 

"What about us Lauren? What about the promise we made for each other?" she shook her head and looked at Lucy again. "Y/N, you're not the kid who made promise to me, it's Lucy. I'm not the girl you promised to marry, it's Camila." I almost dropped my jaw with that revelation. What is this a joke?!

"C-Camila?" The both of them nodded. "Yes Y/N. Camila, nothing else. The girl you hate is the one you made a promise to." I stood up and rubs my face.

"Even if she's the girl I made a promise to marry, I love you Lauren." she shook her head again and stood up to face me. "It's not me Y/N, it's Camila. Why don't you listen to your heart. Look Camila didn't do anything harmful to you. In fact, she gave you everything you want. She avoided you when we were in college. You marry the kid you made a promise to. When you asked for your freedom, even though she's hurting she gave it to you. She's not selfish Y/N, you are. Don't you know that her life in Cuba was beautiful? but instead she left it for you because she wants to fulfill the promise you made to each other."

I was lost when Lauren told me this. I covered my face and fell on my knees. "How did you know all of this?" she bent down in front of me "She's my cousin." I looked at Lucy and she smiled at me.

"Y/N, I want to tell you this. The truth is Camila is the one who found me and not your secretary. She gave the address  to your secretary and please me to entertain you and act like I didn't know nothing. Ever since, your mother already knew that Camila is the one you've been looking for. Y/N, Camila really loves you and she told me to give it to you." Lauren handed me a piece of paper. I opened it then read it.

It's a letter from Camila.

Dear Y/n,

            In this day you're reading this, maybe you're with the love of your life now. Y/N, I'm sorry because I let you suffered. I'm sorry because I force you to love me even though I know you will never love me. I thought our promise to each other is enough but no.

             About the loan of your family, it's already paid. Don't worry. Just be happy with Lauren. Y/N, the truth is. I'm the girl you kissed fourteen years ago. I don't know why you don't remember. I tried everything to bring back your memories but I think you really do hate me so you can't remember.

              I love you so much Y/N, and I will still wait for you.

                                                                                                                       Camila.

After I heard everything, I feel like I've been thrown into a cliff. All this time the one I've been looking for is right in front of me? But I didn't even pay attention to her. I'm fucking blind! I quickly went back to Los Angeles and went to our house but she isn't here. I sadly left the house and I met Shawn.

"Oh hey! Did you drive Camila to the airport?" he asked me curiously. "Drive to the airport? What do you mean?" I hold on to his arms. "You don't know? Camila just left to go back to Cuba. I'm sorry but did you two got into fight?" I didn't answered his question and I immediately went to the airport.

I called my mum and told me that seven o'clock is Camila's flight. She thanked me because I already bump my head. It's already sic o'clock and I almost flew my car on my way to the airport just to stop Camila flying back to Cuba.

When I reached the aiport the only people I see was my mum and Sinuhe, they are both crying. They were shocked when they saw me. "Mum, where's Camila" I hold on to her arms and tried to search for the girl I love. "The plane just left. You're too late." I felt my heart sink and fell on the floor. I'm such a big idiot!

"Mum, she's the little girl I made a promise to marry fourteen years ago." They both sat down beside me. "Ma, i'm so dumb. Why didn't you said that she's the girl i've been looking for years?" I feel like a little baby crying infront of my mom. I feel like she's playing with me.

"Because I want you in your own to see it. I want you to realize who's the one you really love. Not because she's the girl you promised to marry but because she's the one who makes you go crazy and feel love." I hugged my mom. I cried because i'm dumb. And because of me the girl I love just left me.

"Mum, me too. I love her so much." I want to go to Cuba and get her but I'm not worth for her love. I'm such a big jerk.

I love Camila, but it's too late before I knew it. She's already gone.
