"Chloe!" Amy shook me awake. Had I fallen asleep? "You fell asleep on Beca's bed."

"Oh." I said.

"Do you want me to carry you to your room?" Amy offered, seeing the look on my face.

"Okay." I said.

She lifted me up with ease and carried me down the hall to my bedroom. After she dropped me on my bed, she sat next to me.

"So, Beca's with Jesse now." Amy said.

"I know." I said.

"Someday, you'll find someone that makes you that happy." Amy said.

"Beca." I said.

"You have to stop thinking that." Amy said.

"I don't think it, Amy." I said. "I know it."

"How dumb are you?"

"Aca-scuse me?"

"You are so stupid!"

"Hey!"

"Beca dumped you! She hates you! She will never want to date you again! Why can't you just get over it?"

"Amy, I don't appreciate this."

"You need to hear it from someone, and I'm sorry it has to be from me." Amy said. "Beca has moved on and so should you."

"I can't!" I yelled.

"What about that guy you hooked up with last night?" Amy asked. "He seemed...cool."

"I can't even think about that." I said. "I need to go take a shower."

I got all of my stuff and went to the bathroom, but someone was in the shower.

"Jesse!" Beca laughed. "They're going to hear us."

"Then be quiet." He said between laughs.

I marched back to my room, where Amy was going through my closet.

"I can't take it!" I said.

"Chlo, it's just a shower." Amy said.

"Beca and Jesse are in the shower...together." I said. "I just wanted to take a stupid shower to wash off this disgusting man I don't even know! But no, I can't take a shower because my ex girlfriend is too busy having shower sex with her new boyfriend, who, she specifically said, was no more than a close friend."

"Chloe, calm down, you look like you're about to explode." Amy said.

"You don't understand!" I yelled. "How can she just move on like that?"

"It's been a month." Amy said.

"I'm aware of how long it's been!" I yelled.

"I'm going to go get us some smoothies, okay?" Amy said and I nodded. "You cool down, okay?"

I sat down on my bed, cuddling my pillow like I would Beca and holding back tears.

"I love you." I whispered. The pillow didn't respond.
