It's been a month since I "joined" the Homonculi.
They forced me to go on missions to prove myself. And I did everything I could not to be suspicious
But I was tired of their shit, even though Lust now trusted me.
But I was glad she did. Envy was a weird perv, always forcing me to go on missions with him and Gluttony was....well, Gluttony.
But I felt bad thinking of betraying them. Even if they are the bad guys. So would this be my day of glory?
I have seen enough for one life. My story is one of many thousands, and the world shall not suffer if it ends too soon.
I was sitting on Envy's bed, he didn't need sleep, still I had to share a room with him. Lust was too comfortable with being alone in a huge room, with a king sized bed. Priviledged much?
My thoughts where racing, I had mixed feelings about everything. Envy came in the room, with a rather weird expression
"You and Gluttony are to leave for a mission" I was so happy, finally I got rid of him for once. Why was he so weird today? Not like I care but still. He didn't act as his usual self
Envy "No smart-ass moves. I must leave the country and I'm taking Lust with me. I better find everything alright when I come back. Got it?"
"I know what I must do" I replied boldly. I was so happy, this could really be my chance. With Envy's shape-shifting ability out of my way, I could find Ed and Al.
He then left the room and I went to find Gluttony. We met up and went to complete the mission. He told me that we were going to Central for some information about Roy Mustang. Thank the heavens, I could escape. We went to the Central and Gluttony sent me to go to the Central HQ cause people will know he is a Homunculi.
I had to make a decision...catch them or get caught. This was my one and only real chance of escaping
I entered the HQ and told Roy that I needed to see the Elric brothers as soon as possible.
He called them and they were just about to pay him a visit anyway, how convenient
I told the brothers what happened and they said I should fake my death.
It was a good idea, so I ran outside, covered in fake blood and yelled "help, I was poisoned. I don't wanna die" then collapsed on the stairs.
I saw Gluttony's reaction through my hair, which was covering my eyes.
He was scared and decided to make a run for it. Probably going to tell Envy and Lust. But knowing them, they will double-check the situation
I ran inside and thanked the brothers but told them that I need to fake my death for a bit longer than we thought. Envy would not just let my body lay recklessly without making sure it was done for it.
I crawled inside Al's armor and we went back to their grandma's place
I hugged Winry tight and we had a nice meal. I was a bit scared of Envy's anger issues so I decided to sleep in Al, not too comfortable.
At about 2 or 3 in the morning, Ed woke up
Ed: "Al, we have an intruder" he whispered
Al: " What!?"
Ed hushed him "Shh. Stop being loud or we'll be in deep trouble"
I woke up and told them "Ed, Al... This is bad. I know this perfume"
Ed: "Figured, I know whose it is too"
Al: "Am I the only one who's left out? What is going on?"
Ed: "It's Envy, we need to run away and make sure Winry and Pinako are unharmed"
Al: "Brother, I am scared"
Ed:" You shouldn't be, come on"
We went outside and immediately ran to the hills, next to the river. We needed to escape. If Envy couldn't sense us there, he wouldn't go in for nothing. At least, that was what we hoped for.
It was night-time but we managed to reach the Central, luckily Roy and Hawkeye were on their night-shifts. No sign of King Bradley, the brothers knew he was also a Homunculi.
They sent out a signal to the others and surrounded us to form a protective human-shield. They had their guns ready and hands steady
A huge bang could be heard. Envy came crashing into the room, alongside Lust. Gluttony was nowhere to be found. Envy then transformed into his real self, I have never seen it before. It was a huge creature, an ugly beast. It had a long tail and weird eyes
Roy snapped his fingers to burn Lust and Envy to death, but they didn't. Of course, they might be immortal.
I was inside of Al, he was fighting Lust, while Ed and Roy took Envy head on. The others fired their guns but took considerable damage. After all, they were ordinary humans...just like me
Here comes the plot twist, the moment I knew that I was done for it.
Lust: "This brat betrayed us, just like I said on the first day she would. But joke's on you, this is your end"
We all stared at her, ready for a counter attack, when the snake hit from behind
The snake was King Bradley and his sword dug into Al's armor and stabbed me. One stab was enough, it pierced right through my heart
Ed went wild, so did Al. He opened his armor and placed me on the ground. Their fight went on, Al was holding me. Telling how sorry he was, while Ed, Roy and Hawkeye gave their best shots
"I tried my best, my best just wasn't good enough" I mumbled softly.
In the end, they did defeat the Homunculi, but I didn't make it.
I betrayed the Homunculi and suffered the consequences. While trying to be my own and everyone's hero, I ended up being dead and nobody's hero
