"Hey Garrett...who's your lady friend? Isn't she a bit young for you?" Some guy asked. I recognized him as well. He is Nick Dyer. That's what he goes as when fighting and also his real name. He is the only one in the group who does that though. "This is Alec." Garrett said rolling his eyes at the 29 year old. "Alec? Isn't that a guys name?" Nick asked me and I also rolled my eyes. "It's a nickname, did Alecia." I explained. "Well there is an empty bedroom down the hall, I'll leave you two alone." Nick smirked and winked at us. I scrunched up my face. "Gross." I muttered. Garrett looked slightly offended by my comment but said nothing.

"Actually Nick, I'm bringing her to Ford. Where is he?" Garrett asked him. "That's sad, man. Ford's busy. He told me not to 'annoy' him. Is she a criminal? If so you don't need to tell Ford." Nick said, I took that as an insult. "I'm not a criminal. Who is Ford?" I asked looking at Garrett.

As I waited for an answer I noticed that I couldn't read either of their thoughts. "Ford is Wolf. Come on, we are going to disturb him." Garrett said and I smiled. These are my type of people. Nick's a tad annoying but I like his vibe.

Garret swung open a door and there stood a man. In his early 40's he has tattoos all the way up from his wrists to his shoulders on both arms. He had a beard and a man bun. He looked as though he hasn't slept in days. "Garrett, I'm trying to focus." Ford said. "Take a break for a moment. This is Alec." Garrett introduced and Ford got out of his seat walking over to me. Now I know why the call him wolf. He is mysterious and terrifying especially when he is staring into your soul.

"Why'd you bring her here?" Ford asked turning away from me, thankfully. "Because she's different. She knew who I was and knew where my gun was. I'm pretty sure there is something else about her but I don't know what." Garrett said. "I agree with you." Ford said and they thought, staring at me.

I didn't like them talking about me like I wasn't there so I decided to chime in. "I don't know how I knew where his gun was or how I knew he was Aurum." I explained. "Then what can you do that no one else can?" Ford asked. "I don't have to tell you." I said defiantly, Ford seemed taken aback.

"Well she's got guts." He said with a smile. "Just tell us, Alec." He said and I quirked my eyebrow at them. "Why do you need to know? What would you do with that information?" I asked. "Why don't you just trust us?" Garrett asked. "I don't trust anyone." I told them. "I promise I will keep your secret classified, unless I find you fit to join the group." Ford said. I stayed quiet for a while then sighed. "Fine. I can read minds. I don't want to, I can't turn it off. I can't read your minds though." I told them.

"Of course you can't, I gave them all special training to deal with mind readers. Although I don't think anyone else would think of that." Ford said, grinning now. "Can you fight? Shoot a gun?" Ford questioned. "I taught myself to fight when I was 5 and learned to shoot a gun at 7 and learned to use a knife at 4." I said thinking hard to check my numbers.

"That's pretty young." Garrett muttered, I shrugged and pulled out my gun. "Garrett saw it earlier." I said. "Follow me." Ford said and we walked out of that room into another.

Two other guys were in there, the rest of the team. One of them is slightly younger, 19, still older than me though. He has dark skin and floppy black hair. He was shooting two guns at a target. They call him Steel, 'cause he's gotten shoot so many times and they didn't even effect him like at all.

The other dude, usually wears a mask over his mouth a nose, but he didn't have it on. His hair is short and dyed pink, the bag of weapons he always carries around was against the wall. They call him Pierce because he pierces people with his bullets, knives and whatever else is in that bag.

They both turned to look at us. "Hey Ford, Garrett. Who's the pretty girl?" Steel asked. I rolled my eyes. "Name's Alec." I said. "I'm Grayson." Steel said and kicked Pierce. "Keon." He said, completely uninterested. Grayson on the other hand wouldn't take his eyes off me.

"Stand here and try to shoot the bullseye." Ford instructed. I stood where he wanted me to shoot. The bullseye was pretty far away, I had to squint to see it. I shot and hit the bullseye, then I did it again and again.

That got Keon interested. "Woah. Tell me your adding her to the group." He said and I tried to hide my smile as Ford confirmed it.
