My point is." Masky said, probably glaring at Toby under his white mask. "Did you tell her?"

The male in question pressed his lips in a flat line and pointed to his injured shoulder. "Yep. I confessed to the girl I like and she rejected me and stabbed me in the shoulder." He said sarcastically, huffing.

Masky was silent. "... she really went that far to say no?"

Toby's left shoulder twitched, and he sent Masky a glare. "Seriously? No, I - ugh, nervermind."

"Oh, so you didn't ask her yet."

"No. No I did not, Masky."

Said male shrugged and crossed his arms. "Well, she's pretty mad at you. Or is it sad. I don't know with her. Either way, she makes waffles."

Toby raised an eyebrow. "She's home already?"

"Yeah, fast runner. I think Sally went to check up on her." Masky eyed the stab wound on Toby's shoulder. "Five inch stainless steel blade and she sunk it in about three or four inches."

Toby felt that if he took that stupid mask off him right now, he'd be raising an eyebrow condescendingly.

"So either you messed around with her journal, or she caught you in a rather compromising position."

"Neither." He snapped back.

"Misunderstanding leading to her heartbreak?"

"What do you think?" Toby spit, sarcasm dripping from his annoyed tone.

Masky clicked his tongue disapprovingly. "Can't you give the poor girl a break?" He shook his head.

Toby sneered at him. "And since when do you actually care about anyone other than Hoody or Slenderman?"

The male in question shrugged. "Like I said, I actually care about my fellow proxies." He stared at his companion, who was having another spazz attack. "If you want to ask anything, do it now or I'm going back home."

Toby raised an eyebrow. "I highly doubt that you know the meaning of love."

Masky chuckled, most likely smirking under that godforsaken mask. "I know more than most."

"And here comes the lecture." Toby mumbled, cracking his neck while his left leg twitched.

"Love is the most illogical thing in the universe. There is literally no explanation, no scientific solution to it, or ways to control it. It seems absolutely ridiculous and unnecessary until you find it. It doesn't matter if you like a girl or you like a boy, love is love."

Toby raised an eyebrow suspiciously, refusing to believe his uptight comrade was actually answering his question for once. "You're point?"

"Love is putting someone's needs before yours; even if that means you get hurt in the process. If you truly love that person, then you will do what they wish immediately, unconditionally, blindly. Love is hell to go through to get but heaven when you achieve it. It won't be handed to you on a silver platter. You have to cut some benefits to prevent some losses. It's accepting a person for who they are." Masky paused, walking around the tree only to come back with a bouquet of white roses with a black ribbon binding them together. He waved them in Toby's face before tossing said bunch of flowers to him. "And I quote our fellow proxy, Y/N L/N."

Masky turned to glare at Toby, who was silent and holding the roses. "Well?" He asked with an irritated tone. "Don't you have to get those to Y/N?"

"Yeah, but that still doesn't tell me how to tell her." The male in question inquired. "Plus what if she says no? Then what would I do?" He paused. "Er, I probably shouldn't ask you." The male smirked. "It's not like you had any experience."

Masky's eyebrow twitched from under his mask, barely restraining himself from strangling the provoking male in front of him. "I did not just sprout a bunch of mindless quotes from her about love, out of all things for you to start questioning yourself and to insult me." He crossed his arms and glared.
