The Boy in the Black Skinny Jeans(L.H.)

Chapter 1

2 hours. That's it. I have 2 hours till I land in Australia. I didn't want to move. But my parents just had to get a divorce and my mom got the brilliant idea to move half way across the world.

3 hours. 3 freaking hours is how long it took us to get out of the airport and drive to my new 'home'. I'd like to say I hate Australia. But it's beautiful. The house is pretty big too. A two story baby blue house with a huge balcony on the top floor. My mom obviously felt guilty for making me move here, so she let me pick my room first. I chose 1 of the 5 rooms we had and I picked the biggest. Why do we have 5 rooms you may ask? Well for 2 months during the summer my two little brothers will come and visit. My brothers are twins but are absolutly nothing alike. Hunter is really into hunting and fishing. He'll be a real cowboy someday. River is more like me, he likes the indoors, music, reading. The twins are 14 and I'm 17. Not much of an age gap so we hang out alot. It's hard being away from them. But we decided to skype every night. I hear a nock on the door.

"Kalie?"

"Yeah mom?"

"Um, I theres a vinyl shop down the road if you want to go check it out?"

"Actually. That sounds great!"
I decided not to blame mom. It's not her fault she caught my dad cheating. I mean no wife wants to come home to find her husband cuddled up, with her new co-worker, watching a movie in her house.

"Ok, here's a hundred."
She waves the one hundred dollar bill in the air.

I'm flipping through the vinyls and I'm looking for 'the all american rejects' vinyl and i feel someone tap my shoulder.

"Um, hi?"
A cute blond haired boy says. He's probably 17, maybe 18. He's got on a rolling stones cut off with ripped black skinny jeans. And a lip ring.

"Hi."

"Are you finding everything okay?"

"Well I'm actually looking for a 'the all american rejects' vinyl."
He just smiles.

"That's a good band. They're over here." We walk a couple isles over. And he points to the all american rejects.

"Thanks."

"You should take a look at this album."

"Blink-182? Really?"

"Yeah. They're awesome."

"Okay. I'll try."
The bell makes a sound at the front of the store signifying that someone has entered the shop. And the guy walks away.

When I'm finally done,  i have all american rejects, simple plan, green day, and blink-182. I walk up to the front desk were the blond guy is sitting reading a book.

"Hey, whatcha reading?"

"Promise not to laugh?"
I just nodd.

"Twilight. I hear the guy Edward is a total badass."

"Well,  if eating squirrels and rabbits and having sparkly skin doesn't make you  badass? Then i don't know what does." I answer sarcastically.

He laughs and so does someone else. I notice a guy around blond guys age standing there behind him.

"Ok. That will be $30."

"I thought they were $10 a peice. I bought 4 records?"

"I know. But I'm paying for the blink-182. It'll be good to have someone around with good music taste."

"Good music? Then you should take this." That was the other boy. He hands me a CD. With the words 5 seconds of summer written on it in sharpie and 4 names. And a bunch of colorful squiggles.

"I can't let you pay for that and i can't take your CD."

"Why not?" The boys ask in unision.

"Because i don't know you."

Blond guy clears his throat and leans forward to were i can feel is hot breath on my cheek. And he whispers in my ear. "It's called kindness sweetheart. If you live in this town, you better get used to it." I just nod.

"Can i at least know your name?"
Blond guy smiles.

"I'm Luke, and thats Ashton." He motions to the guy over his shoulder. Ashton gives me a cute smile and waves.

"Okay, thanks guys." I grab the bag and the colorful CD. "I'll being this back tomorrow." I say holding up the CD.

The boys wave goodbye and i leave.
