You were so sweet.
You made my heart patter,
You made my heart tatter.
At the sight of you,
I felt weak.
At times, I couldn't even speak.
You made me believe,
This was forever,
It would never end.
It may be silly,
But you were like cotton candy.
You were sweet,
For a moment.
But all good things come to an end.
Your sweetness dissolved,
You made my heart ache,
And yearn for more of you.
I wanted more,
But you wouldn't give.
You were sweet,
You didn't last.
Maybe it was my fault,
And I wanted more too fast.
You were sweet,
You were.
But you were wrong
Yet so right.
And for a moment,
You distracted me from all darkness,
Helping me, to shine and find my own light.
