I wrote a parody about the Divergent series/books to the tune of Colors of the Wind from Pocahontas.

You think I'm some idiot fangirl

and i've read so many fanfics, i guess it must be so

but still, i cannot see

if the stupid one is me

how can there be so much that you don't know?

you don't know...

You're just a hipster wannabe

With an iPad and lenseless glasses to 'look cool'

Reading books ten days before the movie comes out

But claiming you read them in 2003

You think the only people who know spoilers

are the people who stalk the book online

but if you search 'allegiant' even one time

you'll find spoilers you'd never think you'd ever find

have you ever read a trilogy in one whole day?

or stayed up till three reading a good book?

can you honestly say that you're a fangirl

or you actually read on your kindle or nook?

come read the hidden spoilers on the internet

come read the heartwrenching fan theories

come roll in all the riches all around you

and, for once, never worry about spoilers

the ebook and the novel are my brothers,

the author and the keyboard are my friends!

and we are all connected to each other

in a fandom, in a loop that never ends

how long can i cry for hours straight?

if you spoil the book, then you'll never know

and you'll never read a trilogy in one whole day

for, whether we're amity or divergent

we need to honestly say that we are fangirls

and actually read on our nooks

you can own an ereader, still

all you'll own is a tablet 'til

you actually read on your nook
