Love Has No Boundaries (Keith Powers)

Thirteen

   Keith has just gotten back from New York nearly two hours, he is still asleep shirtless with his arm tossed over his chest. Alayna has decided to go back to her apartment and pick up some things, once she gets there she is surprised to see a red two door parked outside her building with tinted windows. She only knows one guy who has that type off car and she pauses, pausing and stepping aside to hide behind the bushes she holds her phone up to her chest.

She turns around and heads to speed walk up the steps only for a hand to grasp her upper arm, she turns around and comes face to face with her ex boyfriend Jake Miller. Yes she previously dated another celebrity, it was before he became mainstream and they broke up shortly after.

"Hello Jake" she says slipping her arm out of his grasp.

"That's all I get, Nana" he says.

"It's Alayna. What are you doing here Jake" she asks?

"I just came to talk to you. We haven't talked in nearly three years" he says.

"Yes because you wanted to focus more on your career which is fine. No hard feelings, but for you to publicly go and say you are single and not in a relationship because you don't need a distraction. I was done with you and our relationship after that" she says.

"How is what I did any different from what your 'new boyfriend' does? I mean he kept you hidden for one year" Jake says and she scoffs placing her hand on his chest pushing him away.

"He is different and we already moved past that" Alayna says. 

"Alright look I didn't come to argue. I'm in a new relationship and I just wanted to come apologize for what pain I caused you. You may or may not believe this, but I did care for you greatly. I hope you are happy in your new relationship and I hope we can stay in contact and be friends" Jake says reaches his arms out for a hug.

       Alayna will always care greatly for Jake, he was her first love and that will never go away; stepping closer to him she wraps her arms around his back and rests her head beside hers tucking her nose in his shoulder. His hand comes up resting on the back of her neck as he holds her firmly against her, inhaling her scent. Neither of them seeing or hearing the camera flash behind them, Alayna eyes burn slightly as tears fall down her cheeks.

     They pull apart and he raises his hand to rest on her cheek as her tears releases, she smiles softly and rests her hand on his wrist before leaning closer against his hand.

"Thank you Jake. It may three years too late, but thank you. For being my friend" she whispers looking up at him.

"I'm always going to be your friend" he says and she smiles before resting her head on his chest before reaching up on her toes and wrapping her arms around his neck firmly.
