I was sitting and talking with Alice when my father came into the room and tapped my shoulder. I turned my head and saw that he was holding a barbie doll, attempting to replace my Bendy doll he'd thrown in some chair in a room I'd never find or figure out. He wrapped my fingers around her and grinned without emotion.
Lately, he's been strange. He seems to want me to obey him rather than have my own freedom to roam around the shop and he's been keeping me distracted as if he didn't want me to talk to my new friends.
"Here sweetie. It's the barbie doll I promised from yesterday!"
"Um... Thank you...." I smiled weakly and accepted her as a gift, but not as a friend.
He walked away, glaring at a side of the room. I noticed and gazed at where he looked and saw that Bendy was leaning against the wall, crossing his arms in a type of way that looked rebellious.
"Your looking at Bendy I see~!" Alice hummed, poking my side.
"Well, my dad was giving him a mean look... I just noticed it. Why would he give Bendy a mean look?"
"Well, you see here-" she cut herself off when Bendy stared at her. They stared at each other for a bit, frozen in place, making me feel something I didn't understand. I felt sad, yet mad, but also betrayed. I didn't know what to call this feeling(Omg, you guys are so innocent *0*.... in the fanfic...).
"Alice?" I shook her arm, trying to get her attention away from Bendy. "Alice, are you okay?"
She shook her head, blinking, and stared at me. She smiled slyly at Bendy, who's face flushed red, and took my hands in hers. "I'm fine! Say, why don't you talk to Bendy! You two should get to know each other!"
Gazing between her and Bendy, I shrugged shyly, blushing lightly. "I-i mean... I don't think he'd want to-"
"Don't be silly Y/n! I'm sure he'd LOVE to talk to YOU!" She seemed to express the few words and my name, but I didn't quite notice.
"But h-he seems to be-"
"Just go, you shy little cutie!" She shoved me towards him half-way, making him stare at us curiously.
I walked over to him nervously and gave a small cough to lift the awkwardness. "So um... How are you, Bendy?" I twiddled with my fingers as he gave me a awkward grin.
"Fine, thank you. What about you?"
"I'm okay... I have a question for you."
He stopped leaning against the wall and looked at me. "Ask away."
I took in a breath and put my hands to my sides. "Why did my dad glare at you?"
His expression went blank, eyes glassy, grin fake. I gulped the lump in my throat that I didn't realize was stuck there and shivered. "I-it's okay i-if you don't want to..."
His face suddenly burned a bright red as he turned away and covered the lower half of his face for some odd reason. I tilted my head in confusion and stepped to the side, facing him. He, again, turned the other direction.
"Bendy? Are you oka-"
"I'M FINE, THANK YOU!" His voice cracked as he waved me off with his other hand. I got so confused about why he was acting like this.
"I won't believe it until you look me in the eyes." I persisted, poking his back.
He sighed, turning around with his eyes closed. He slowly opened them and found my eyes. I just looked into his black beady eyes as he got lost in my e/c eyes. He slowly lowered his hand, revealing his very red face. I stifled a laugh and it came out as a giggle. He blinked and backed away slightly, which I didn't even realize he was walking towards me and left barely a foot between us.
"Bendy, why is your entire face red? Is that a blush of some sort?" I theorized, biting a finger to prevent my laughter once again.
"Er... Um... Well, you see-"
"Yes! It is! Great observation Y/n!" Alice cut in and wrapped an arm around my neck, patting my shoulder. "You wanna know why~?"
"Alice, don't you dare!" Bendy yelled as she grinned at me and began running.
"IT'S BECAUSE HE L-"
"ALICE!" Bendy yelled, the red on his face flushing darker as he chased her around the room.
I awkwardly stood there and watched as they chased around each other. I felt that same emotion boil into my chest, hurting as I watched Alice laugh as Bendy tackled her. My thoughts darkened and my smile went into a straight line. 'They seem so happy here... So... Why did my dad bring me here to explore..? Aren't I just a bother...?'
I slowly walked away without their notice and went to my dad's office as I clutched onto the barbie doll. 18 and still into dolls, what a dream.
I didn't notice there were tears on my cheeks until it fell onto my arm. I wiped them away and sniffled, looking around the room. My dad wasn't present in the room at the moment, so I sat on the large couch that was laid out in the corner between the door and the shelf.
I stared at the barbie doll, wondering why someone would want to buy a hideous thing that wore so much makeup and had so much plastic surgery it literally was plastic(PFFFFT!). I put the barbie in the trash can next to the desk, walking back to the couch, laying down on the cushions. Relaxing my muscles, small tears falling down my cheeks, I sighed and closed my eyes.
It was strange to see and narrate yourself. Even more so when you can't interact with anything in memories. I watched as my past self fell asleep. The doll stood in the trash can where it belonged and the room wasn't as dusty as it was in my modern time. Although it was only a memory, I still felt everything as if it was by step. I never did find out what that emotion was, but somehow I knew what death was like. That was strange, but it wouldn't matter now.
The door creaked open and revealed a nervous Bendy sneaking in. He stared at my past self as she slept, sighing and smiling. He pulled a blanket out from my dad's desk and wrapped it around her. He paused and saw the dry tear streaks on her face. He grimaced, wiping them away with his glove, grinning once her face was clean.
He saw the barbie, but it didn't interest him much. Then he did something really strange and... Embarrassing. He leaned down, pushed my past self's hair back gently, and kissed the side of her head softly, as he didn't want to wake her up.
He quickly retreated, smiling to himself with a light red blush on his cheeks. The door shut quietly as my memory began to transition into a new one. I felt my cheeks burning as I realized that Bendy liked me before, but that feeling of butterflies soon left as soon as I realized why I was able to know this.
