What Have I Done...

Corey's POV

"Corey!"Laney yells.

"Laney!"I yell to her.

I hugged her tightly,I never wanted to let go again.But then her grip losens,and she starts to fall.Then she collapses on the floor,the same way she did when she got hit by the lazer.Then a dark figure stands on top of her.

"Well some lights have to burn out,"the guy chuckles.I know that voice...Chuck.

"Chuck why don't you leave already,leave and die in a pit!I don't care as long as you're far away from me and my friends!"I yell.

"Well alright,"he says,"I have no use for her anymore.You have no use for her anymore etheir boy."

"W..what?"I say.

"Don't you get it?Your little friend,your little unity beam is dead,"he says.

"N..no,that can't be!"I yell.

"It's true,now so long sucker,"he says as he leaves.

I look down to Laney,waiting for her to scare me again,waiting for her to open her eyes.But it doesn't happen...

I jolt awake from my bed,breathing heavily.It was a dream,only a dream.I take in a deep breath to calm down.My hands are still shaking with fear.I get up and pace around a little.By the time I drift to sleep again Kin wakes me up.

"Dude today's the day for war!"Kin yells.

"Yay,"I say sleepily.

"Did you even sleep?"Kin asks me.

"Yeah,but then I woke up,"I say.

"Well you better hurry up!"Kon yells.

"OK,OK do't be so pushy!"I yell.

I take a shower and put on my cloth.Today is day we fight for freedom and my friend.I just hope Laney is okay.I'm actually kinda scared for what would happen.However I got to push the thought aside.I race down the stairs to meet up with Kin and Kon.

"You ready man?"Kin asks me.

"Yeah,"I reply.

"OK,we're gonna meet everyone outside in 5 minutes,"Kin says.

"Alright,so let's get going,"I say.

We head out of the building,yes our houses did get demolished.Well mines is actually under high surveillance,but Kin and Kon's house...was...Anyways,we headed towards the park and met up with the other troops.We disscussed the plan and Kin passed out wepons.So the plan for our group is to sneak in to City Hall and kill Chuck,he deserves to die.We as a city had enough of him,and he need to go forever.Then me,Kin and Kon search for Laney.That's our plan.

"OK,so everyone knows their position?"Kin asks.

"Sir yes sir!"everyone says.What is this,the military?!

"OK,then everyone into position!"Kin yells.

"Dude,since when do you lead everyone?"I ask.

"Since I made the plans,and wepons,"Kin says.

"OK whatever braggy,"I say.

"Shut up,"Kin says punching my arm.

We go to side of the diversion troops,I feel sad,because then I notice we are at war.I never thought all of this would ever happen.I feel had for the people,who are risking their lives for a mistake I did when I was 6...I should've never left Laney behind.When I was 6 I...I didn't stopped her from meeting Chuck.I've seen Chuck before on the news for kidnapping kids,what I didn't know was that when he first layed eyes on Laney,he planned for her to be next.It was the day after the Talent Show,where Grojband was 1st made,where we won the show,and where I gained two more friends.Me and Laney where close friends again and we where having a race.Laney was ahead of me until she ran into a man,he was Chuck.I didn't tell her she ran into a wanted man,I just kept my mouth shut.She obviously didn't know who he was,and simpily said,"Sorry."Then we left,and I knew he was following.Again I kept my mouth shut and ran faster and Laney thought of it as a game,I wanted her to think that.I still never told her what I did.If I would have screamed,or yelled,or something,he'd be behind bars,not in City Hall.I could've stoped all of this,but my silence kept me away from telling the horrible truth.
