The strongest of trees
are rooted in the darkest of places
of the cold and unnerving earth.
The unruly branches of such strong trees
swipe and grasp at the darkened skies.
The darkness is untouchable,
it is everywhere -

Let it be your shied,
sheltering you from the dangers
hidden within the crevices of the dark.
Let it be your compass,
pointing you in the right direction,
even though it may be dark there, too.
