Nash's POV

"Hayes, no you can't come with us." I hissed.
"Why? I want to hang out with my older brother." Hayes begged.
"That's right, I am your older brother. Whatever I say goes! You are not hanging out with us."
"Pleaseeeee."
After the annoying attempts from Hayes, I finally gave in.
"Fine. One round of basketball."
After putting on my basketball shoes, I ran outside to see the boys talking to someone. Every step I ook, the face got more familiar.
Leah. Leah Collins.
God, she is beautiful. Her messy bun, let me see her face more clearly. No make-up, a beautiful smile, and gorgeous brown eyes.
"Nash, you okay bro?" Hayes asked.
"Yeah. Yeah I'm fine. Hi Leah, it's finally nice to meet you." I replied.
"Yeah. I thought I would freak out, but I'm cool." she smiled.
"What brings you to North Carolina?" I asked.
I knew she was from Texas, so t didn't make sense that she would be here. I know for a fact that she doesn't live in the same town as me.
"It turns out.... I moved across the street from you guys."
Hayes hit me in the stomach, causing me to turn my attention towards him.
"Dude." Hayes beamed.
"Play it cool." I whispered.
I guess Leah knew what was going on, because she started laughing.
"C'mon guys? Are we really going to play the secrecy game? Is this really third grade?" she gasped.
"What?" we both questioned.
"Don't think that I saw you two whispering. Spill." she sassed.
My face turned pale, at the thought of telling her the truth. If Leah knew that I have a crush on her, I would ruin the relationship I just started.
"Dude, I was just kidding!" Leah laughed.
After Leah recollected herself, she gave us a cheesy smile.
"God, take a joke for once? Anyway, I am so glad that we're neighbors!" Leah giggled.
"Yeah me too!"
"Well I have to unpack, and post my new video." Leah sighed.
Me being the gentleman I am, opened her car door for her. She quickly started her car and shut the door.
"Hey Leah, what are you doing tomorrow?" Hayes questioned.
"Probably unpacking why?"
"You want to come watch a movie with us? It would give us a chance to know each other." Hayes replied.
"Yeah! That would be great! But you will have to come get me. Knowing me, I'll probably forget." Leah suggested.
"Bye Leah." I grinned.
Leah waved goodbye and headed directly across the street.
"Hey, you want to know something odd?" Hayes said.
"Sure.
"While you guys were having a "conversation", which was extremely awkward, but that's not the point. The point is, I did some snooping, and it was just Leah in that car. Where is the rest of her family?"
