Everyone had entered the room. All listened to the story. All heard how Alfred felt. All had seen how Alfred broke down crying. And Arthur, Arthur was sitting on his bed and rubbing his back. "Hey... it's all right... it's not your fault."
"But isn't it? I don't even know what she was going to say-"
"She was going to say 'But Alfie... you're so much stronger and I need you to protect this house... this family... I need you to look after your family Alfred... And take time for yourself... go get yourself a lover and live happily and however you want," Matthew butt in. All eyes landed on him. He shrugged a little, "It was written in her diary in French..." Lies Matthew. Lies, you know everything. Matthew shot the author another look.
And Alfred cried even harder, causing Arthur to wrap his arms around Alfred in a tight hug.
"Ew, physical contact," Lovino said while simultaneously holding Antonio's hand. Antonio just shook his head with an idiotic grin.
"I have the best friends ever!" Alfred sobbed. Gilbert was definitely getting this on camera, although it was probably going to make him cry later. "They're always there for me in my times of need!"
"Oui! Of course we are cheri!" Francis said, smiling a bit. Eliza nodded, saying, "And I brought my favorite frying pan! For you!"
Alfred sobbed harder. The mention of the frying pan caused Gilbert to flinch. A certain Russian spoke up, "Da, and I thank you for saving me from my sister."
"I HAVE SUCH GREAT FRIENDS!"
Arthur winced, but could only laugh gently. "Yeah, but you should get some rest."
"Okay..."
And so Alfred fell asleep. But not after the video was posted on the internet and viewed by millions. And even Gilbert viewed it... and cried...
And so this is how we end this chapter because I didn't know how to.
