No Goodnight Kisses.... Pt.1

Colby

I jogged up the stairs and into my room, Alli was in tears and my blankets were all over the bed. "Hey angel, what's wrong," I told her softly and she looked up at me with her matching piercing blue eyes.

I sat down next to her and she latched onto me immediately. Alli sat in my lap with her head on my chest while she tried calming her tears as I rubbed her back. I whispered anything for make her feel better, like 'you're okay' or 'I love you' because I'm assuming she had a bad dream.

A few minutes went by and the tears stopped, Allison quieted down with the hiccups too. When I looked down at her she was trying to fall back asleep, which I have to fix in a minute.

I looked up at the door as soon as I heard footsteps leading up to my open door. It was Sam.

"She okay?" Sam asked in a concerned voice.

"Yeah, she's fine, bad dream" I nodded and he seemed to be pleased with the answer because he waved and left the room.

I look back down at her after a while and Alli fell back asleep. I shook her and told her to 'get up', but she had just mumbled out 'no' or to 'go away'.

When Colby finally did get Allison to wake up she insisted he'd carry her downstairs. Colby did eventually agree after a minute or two.

Colby walked downstairs with Alli in his arms and walked into the living room where he heard everyone's voices.
"Look who came to say good morning" Colby said as he walked into the room and everyone faced the way he was coming through.

Corey, Elton, Sam, Aaron, and Devyn all smiled as the pair walked in.
Corey, since Alli was his favorite in the house, stood up and grabbed Alli from Colby first.

"Good morning Allison" Corey smiled and sat back onto the couch as everyone else talked.

"Good morning Uncle Corey"

"Do you want to try to go into the pool today?" Corey asked since yesterday Alli got too scared because she thought she would drown or get eaten by a monster in the pool.

"Maybe, but you have to make sure you get the monsters out first" Alli hummed her 'maybe' and smiled to Corey.

"That's scary, how about Uncle Elton does it, he shouldn't be scared" Corey said and got Elton's attention.

Elton got the hint and played along with the 'monsters in the pool' thing.

"No way, those things are scary, maybe Daddy can get them, yeah?" Elton asked.

Thing about Elton was he is most crazy about Colby and Allison's father-daughter relationship. He absolutely adores them together and loves every second their together because it's always so cute, that's why he's trying to get Colby to get the 'monsters' out.

"Daddy, will you get the monsters out for me?" Alli asked as she climbed into Colby's lap again.

Colby looked at her and smiled lovingly, "Yeah, I'll get the mean monsters out," he kissed her nose lightly and Alli smiled and cuddled up to Colby.

Elton and Devyn 'awed' at them, making Alli blush a light pink. Alli tried hiding into Colby's arm to get away from Elton and Devyn's coos.

"So, guys, I was thinking Sam, Colby, Corey, Amanda, and I could go to the bridge for an overnight video" Elton brought up and anyone could see the worry and almost sadness on Colby's face.

Though he loves the videos and trying to stay overnight, he also hates it because they always play with the board and he believes in it so if anything bad happened he wouldn't be able to keep Allison to himself and he always gets worried when he's gone because Alli loves goodnight kisses and hugs and he hates that he can't give her that to make her feel safe because he isn't home.
