It can be hard to let our walls down every time we go out on a date though how will we learn and even begin a relationship if we don't try. Test out the waters, but don't get too deep and see where things go and if that person is looking for all the things you want in a serious long term relationship.
Though when it comes to knowing when you truly love your partner, being able to identify if it's in the heat of the moment or true love; though I have come to wonder when I find myself at a certain point in my future romantic relationship with my future partner, if I'll be able to know if what I feel for him is real! Or if it's too soon.
From the research I've done, I believe it's too early to reach that point between 3-6 months, 6+ months seems safe time to find myself, being able to say: "I love you" at the right moment! Though I'd prefer that he'd say it first.
And this is what I want, serious yet long term relationship with whoever that lucky and special guy is that God has been saving for me at the right time/moment!
