i panted lightly as i set my bags down on the ground.

i wasn't even showing that much, but i was already exhausted from being on my feet for half of the day.

i walked slowly towards the fridge, looking for something to eat.

my morning sickness and extreme sensitivity had thankfully disappeared during the hospital visit.

"you're back?" hyuk asked, emerging from his bedroom, probably hungover.

"yep. how's that headache of yours?"

"awful. i already took painkillers, but it's not going away." he groaned.

"maybe i should make you hangover soup," i suggested.

"i wish, but i'm supposed to be taking care of you, not the other way around."

"it's fine. i am your older sister, after all."

"i'll call some delivery place," he sighed, collapsing tiredly onto the couch.

"but i can just make it right now," i argued softly. "why waste money on some overpriced, lukewarm liquid that's barely edible?"

"relax, i know a good one nearby. it's fairly close, so the soup's always hot when it gets here."

"i'll go pick is up then," i said.

"what? why?"

"exercise."

"but you should be resting-"

"it's fine. you're no in condition to go by yourself, so i might as well walk there," i insisted.

"you're too stubborn," hyuk complained, unable to do much to stop me.

i grabbed my wallet and headed towards the supermarket a block away.

i bought only what we didn't have at home *ahvegetablesandhealthyfoodem.*

i pushed the cart around, grabbing oxtail, cabbage, and bean sprouts.

hell, why not grab zucchini and garlic while i was at it?

my feet ached on and off, and i had to rest a while in an empty aisle, embarrassed by my new lack of stamina.

the lines were unusually long today, and impatience was worn on everyone's faces.

a girl, curvy but skinny like a model, shoved past me in order to get to the shorter queue next to mine.

"move it, fatty," she said under her breath and i flinched.

"i'm pregnant, not chubby, bitch," i mumbled, but she was already out of earshot and talking obnoxiously loudly to her equally model-esque boyfriend.

i rolled my eyes and dumped the groceries onto the conveyor belt, mood souring and shame increasing.

"that was rude," i heard someone mutter behind me.

"excuse me?" annoyed, i turned around to see who it was that said that.

"sorry, i meant her, not you." under a tight black cap were a pair of wide, nervous eyes and shadowed face.

"hyukwoo." much to my displeasure, loco was here.

"{y-y/n}." he stuttered, growing even more anxious. "f-fancy seeing you here."

"why are you here?"

"buying food," he said and held up a bag of oranges shakily.

i raised an eyebrow. "right. and what did jay want you to do around this place?"
