The cafeteria was bustling with people, and that's where we found Autumn. She saved a spot for us in the lunch line, so we gladly took it. The people around shot us looks, but they couldn't do anything anyway because everyone does this. When we got there, Summer, not being able to keep her mouth shut, for no reason at all, told Autumn what I said to her earlier.

"Violet told Ernest that she has a crush on that guy in her drama class!"

"Who cares if she told him or not? It's natural for friends as close as the two of them to tell each other everything."

Summer replied with a, "Yeah, but you know..." and trailed off.

And then. They shared a look.

"Hey, what was that look for?"

The two immediately stopped whatever sort of telekinesis mind thingie they had there and looked at me. With Autumn saying, "What look? Anyway, now we'll just have to get Jotham to like you back! Afterall, you only told us this this morning."

"Yeah, sure, plan all you want. While you're at it, why don't you plan out my wedding and name my kids too? And next time, I'm not going to let you change the subject that easily!" I seethed. It's not fair that they know something that I don't and is trying to hide it from me. And the fact that they keep going back to this particular topic is really ticking me off.

"Oh come on! You're just lucky you have friends like us."

"Yeah, yeah, whatever."

The time passed slowly with them discussing our "plan of action" as we got lunch. They just kept blabbering on and on about their daydream confessions. In the end, they couldn't agree on anything because their opinions were just too different. I mean, one wanted me to just jump him! Seriously!?

Sometimes, I cannot understand why I'm friends with these people. Ever heard of the saying 'birds of a feather flock together'? Yeah, not the case for us. Autumn is the really hyper and energetic of the group while Summer was the absolutely cool-headed one who can be hyper when you feed her too much sugar. Or when she feels like it. Me, I'm somewhere in the middle of both of them. In a way, though, we complete each other. That's our story, and we absolutely love each other.

We sometimes go overboard with our gimmicks. Without Summer, we would probably either a) be in a hospital, b) in juvenile hall, or c) dead. We can do some pretty crazy stuff sometimes, and it would always be either Summer or me who ended up as the voice of reason. Autumn is, well, the life of the party as they call it. Anyway, the plans they were coming up with were just plain old crazy, so by the end of lunch, nothing was accomplished, and we went to our afternoon classes.

The class I have right now is drama, or, the class where I'll be able to see Jathom! I hurried there and sat into my seat.

Drama. Where the most famous actors and actresses were born. It fills my heart and my head with excitement. Everybody acts. It's just a matter of who's conscious of it and who's not. The people who are actors are the people who are conscious of it, and those people who say that they get stage fright, or that they don't have the talent for it, are the people who aren't conscious of it. It's a shame those people don't realize they're acting. That exhilerating feeling when you pretend you're someone else, when you become that character, they'll never experience.

The drama room is basically the school theater, and there are a lot of people. One third of them are just students who need to get their art credits over with and choose another class. It doesn't matter to me what they choose anyway. As long as I get to do my part in drama.

I look around and find Jathom sitting at the seat in the back of the classroom. He's looking at the teacher with an intense expression. It's most likely because he's thinking about something though. He doesn't really pay attention to what the teacher has to say, and that's why he isn't in any of the major roles. He is a natural at acting, just not at listening to people tell him what to do. On the stage, he can transform into a charater completely. It would be hard to tell when he's telling a lie. He doesn't get chances to prove himself though, because of his attitude toward the teacher.
