"Here's your room. It's a bit small, but it should do the fit." Jax opens a white door, I took a step inside after he motioned me to go first. The room was opposite to small. I know I am exaggerating, but it felt like it was about the size of my small apartment.
Right in the center of the room was a massive king size bed, it was covered in shiny, silk, black bed spread. There was a vanity and wardrobe at the far left and almost a whole living room to the right.
"That's the door to the good ol' ladies room next to the vanity over there." Jax told me. I look over to see a door cracked open slightly. "Well, that's about it. Any questions? I promise I don't bite, I'm not Axel. I won't threaten to kill you."
"Why do I have to stay here?" I asked. I mean I really did want the answer to this, Jax probably was the better of the two to ask this, since Axel would probably give me hell for even just thinking about it.
"I don't know, if I were the one who made the decisions I would probably let you be..., but-" he pauses and brings his hand to his chin.
"'But, what?"
"I could see why they want to keep you here, you did see a crime being committed, and we don't know what or what you aren't capable of. So, I do understand somewhat why you're not trusted. Plus, who wouldn't want to keep you? You're a pretty little thing." He then winks. Oh boy, I hope they don't find out I'm actually a hacker? Well, they probably can't hack into the FBI by normal means. I might be okay on that part. Also, he thinks I'm pretty.....I can already tell that this probably is going to be a heck of a ride.
"Okay....." I said softly, I felt my cheeks flush, why is he so forward. I don't like it when guys are like that, it just makes everything awkward for me. I never know how to react. He returns to his cheery smile.
"Don't act so surprised, I'm only joking around. You shouldn't show your expressions that openly to something so tiny, you never know if a man might take advantage of that. Now, just relax, kick off your shoes, do whatever it is you women like to do. I'm going to go down the hall to attend to some business, I'm sure I can trust you with that, just don't go wandering about, I don't want Axel to know I'm leaving you out of my sight. So, I will be across the hall. If you need anything, just come over." He takes a deep breath and stretches. "Just don't call anyone or tell them that you're here. If you must speak with someone don't even mention any of this. If you do... that's going to cause problems for you. Most people will think you're crazy, either that or you'll explode into media and never have privacy again. So, take your pick if you're daring enough." Jax said with a hint of sarcasm.
"If you said yourself that you couldn't trust me, why are you being so nice?" I ask.
"Something is telling me I should. Plus if I was ruthless, then you wouldn't be much of a converser. You also look like you're not capable of breaking out of here, nor do you look stupid enough to attempt something like that. Now, if you'll excuse me." Jax walks out of the room and goes across the hall, just as he said. I still don't understand why it is that they're treating me like this. I scan the room I was given once again. I'm a hostage. Why am I being treated like royalty? Their actions have me very confused as to what's going on with their motives. Another thing I should be concerned about is Axel, he went to go talk with their boss about me. I don't even know how big his control is, how much influence he has in LA. I don't even know his name or face.
Actually, since I'm alone I should text Hana. She's probably flipping out. I make my way over and sit on the bed, it was soft. It almost felt like I was on a cloud. I'm not surprised since this is a mansion. I pull out my phone from my purse and open up my messages. I saw that Hana had texted me. I read them one by one, there was a total of five.
I look up from my screen and at the door, nobody is around. I should at least send her a text. I reply back quickly. I jump at the sound of the notification that she texted back.
I feel nothing but a terrible feeling in my chest, I hate having to lie to her. I lock my phone and toss it on the bed beside me. Taking a deep breath I stare up at the ceiling. I notice that there's a large window directly above the bed, you could see the stars shining brightly and beautifully. I haven't really gotten to see them since I moved to LA.
The number one question in my mind was how to go about telling my boss that I'm technically inside of a gang's holdout. However, is this really the Diamonds? They're always talked up as a ruthless, killer style of gang. Why would they be so nice to me? Not to mention that Jax even said that they don't kill innocent. I stretch my limbs and take a deep breath. I guess I should probably roll with this and get as much intel as I can, better to go out doing my job than as a random party girl who witnessed a crime.
I hear a knock to my right. I quickly jump up and look in the direction. Axel was standing in the doorway. He looked agitated, like he was about to start yelling at me for no reason at all.
"Stop sleeping and come with me, the boss of the house wants to see you." He said then stood up straight.
"I wasn't sleeping." I said. I don't know why I still keep testing his authority, he just gets angry every time.
"Whatever, I don't care what you were doing. All I care is that the boss wants to talk with you and sent me to get you." He shot back. He started walking down the hall, I quickly scramble to catch up to him.
