This chapters question: Do you guys want to go to college/ do you attend college/ where do you want to go to college/ where do you attend college? I want to go to college and I want to attend University of Oregon and I want to major in Mathematics secondary teaching.
Guys these next few chapters will be about introducing the new characters and how they fit into the story so I hope you enjoy :)
*still in the past*
"October you have to go to Geometry" I said looking over to the girl.
"But I hate math" she groaned.
"It's your first day October" I sighed.
"I don't wanna go" she whined "math is pointless, seriously what is the point?"
Jeff spoke up from beside me "it's essential to learn how to tip at restaurants" he said as we walked down the halls.
"And less important things like medicine, economics, engineering" I trailed off as I looked at the two of them.
"Tipping" Jeff said and I rolled my eyes as we got to October's Geometry class.
"Go" I said pointing my finger towards the class. She looked at me with puppy dog eyes. "Get in the classroom October" I said and she sighed before trudging her way into the class.
I looked over to Jeff "come on I'll walk you to the library" I spoke. He smiled and nodded.
I gasped as Jeff ran into someone as we turned the corner. "Oh my God I'm so sorry I wasn't looking where I was going" the person said as she was picking up her books that Jeff had knocked down.
He bent down "it's okay, here let me help you" he said as he began to pick up her things. I looked over to see one of her books went across the hall so I walked over and picked it up.
I looked back to see the two of the staring silently at each other.
I faked a cough, breaking their eye contact apart. "Sorry.. um I'm Jeff, that's Indigo" Jeff said awkwardly as he held his hand out to the girl, helping her up.
"I'm Evelyn uhh but you can call me Evie" she said shyly as she tucked a piece of hair behind her ear.
I smiled at her "nice to meet you" Jeff and I said at the same time.
"I um, I gotta go" she mumbled before going to walk away.
"Wait" Jeff called, she turned around slowly. "Your books" he said as we held up the books she had dropped.
"Oh right" Evie said as she turned red, grabbing the books from our hands.
"Um well, I'll see you around" Jeff said softly to the shy girl in front of us. She smiled and nodded before walking away.
I looked over to Jeff and smirked once I noticed the red look on his face as he let out a breath of relaxation. "Someone's got a crush" I said pinching his cheek.
"Shut up" he said growing redder.
I laughed and pushed him to the side "don't worry I won't tell" I said as we reached the library. "Okay have fun, tell Clay I said hi" I said and he nodded before entering the library.
"Indigo, why aren't you in class?" I heard Mr.Porters voice as I turned into a new hallway.
I sighed "uh my friend just started school, it's her first day here so I showed her around and took her to class" I answered and he looked at me before hesitantly nodding.
"Okay, well get to class" he said and I nodded before we walked separate ways.
"Sucker" I scoffed as I quickly exited the school.
I entered my car before letting out a small scream as I jumped when Justin popped out of nowhere.
"Where you going?" He asked as I brought my hand to my rapidly beating heart.
"To the hospital to get my heart checked out" I said out of breath. "You asshole" I said causing him to laugh.
"Okay but really, where are you going?" He asked me.
"I was just going to get some coffee, I already missed the first half of class there's no point in going" I said shrugging. I raised my eyebrow "and what happened to your eye?" I asked softly as I noticed he had a black eye.
He sighed before looking down "my mom has her stupid boyfriend at the house and we got into an argument this morning cause he was yelling at her so I tried to make him leave but he hit me and my mom told me to get out" he said quietly as he stood at the door of my car, looking at the ground with tears in his eyes.
"Aw Justin, she let that asshole in again?" I asked sympathetically as he nodded. "Come on, let's go get coffee" I stated as he looked up at me.
"I don't have any money" he stated.
"Get in the car Justin" I said and he smiled softly at me before walking around and entering the car.
I drove to Monet's and ordered us two coffees to go before driving Justin and I to the beach.
"Why are we at the beach?" He asked as we exited the car.
"Well I love the beach and it always puts me in a good mood so maybe it'll help you feel better" I said smiling over at him.
"Thanks Indigo... for everything" he said wrapping his arms around me.
"No need to thank me" I said rubbing his back. "Now let's have fun" I said before running down to the sand.
