2: A Big Announcement

Ashton’s POV

“Um……. Hey. I’m Ashton, the amazing drummer of the band.” I said awkwardly. Don’t blame me, I just wanted to make some conversation with Laurel’s bestie. Who seemed really cute, with her blue dip dyed hair.

I was unpacking, and getting used to the surroundings of Audrey’s room.

She smiled slightly. “So I’ve heard. The amaxing drummer, huh?”

I nodded. “You shouldn’t question the awesome, but I’ll play for you if you want,” I offered.

The slight smile on her face grew larger. “Yeah? That’d be really cool.”

“How about now?”

“What?”

“How about I show you my skills right now? The drumset’s down in the basement,” I said.

“Come on,” I said, holding out my hand for her, indicating that she should grab it.

Grinning, she took it.

Audrey’s POV

Omigod. Hyperventilating right now. I, Audrey Lee, was currently holding ASHTON IRWIN’S hand.

God, don’t wake me up from this amazing dream. I beg you.

All of a sudden, he halted. Yes, I did just say halted.

“What?” I asked.

“Uh…. I just might be a little lost,” He admitted, looking  at the ground.

OH MY GOD he was so adorable when he was embarrassed.

I laughed. “Come on, this way,” I said, as I guided him expertly down the hall, still holding his hand.

When we entered the basement, it was pitch black. Ashton and I couldn’t see a thing.

“God, where the hell is the light switch?” I said frustratedly. I let go of Ashton’s hand to fumble around for the lights.

Which I immediately regretted, because I now had no idea where he was, either.

“Audrey?” I could hear him looking for me.     

“Ermph, yeah, still alive, I’m okay,” I said, tripping over a stupid box.

I turned, and kinda… Bumped into Ashton’s muscular body.

"Oh! Uh. Sorry….?” Not knowing what to say. That was when I noticed that we were really close. So close that I could feel his minty breath on my skin.

AWWWWWWWWWWWWWKKKKWAAAARRRDDDD

I pulled back.

“Um, sorry.” Ashton said awkwardly.

Why is it no matter what situation I was in there was always awkwardness involved?

I clung onto the wall, and I felt something poking at my hand.

God light switch, you finally decided to appear, huh? I thought, as I flicked it on.

I heard Ashton laugh.

“Oh God did I say that out loud?” I asked, my cheeks turning red.

He was still laughing. God, it wasn’t even that bad!

“No, it’s okay, that was adorable.”

Okay now I was shocked.

I was just called adorable.
