Chapter 9

I was taken aback when I saw with whom Bella was, I knew with that malicious face of her when she told me where we were going, it was because she's got something going on. 'I hate her, how could she? – I thought to myself, looking directly to where they were. I was so focused looking at them that I did not notice Brett was talking to me when suddenly I saw a  hand reflection in front of my face.

- Lovely, are you alright? - He said looking directly where I was staring.

- Oh , I'm sorry , it's just that my friend is over there with my partners.- I said with an expression of apology

- It's okay you can go with them.- Brett said smiling. Then he gets an info card out of his wallet. – We can keep in touch later, have fun with your friends.

- Oh. Alright! it was lovely meeting you, and I'm really sorry about what happened. - I Stood up and gave him a friendly hug, then I went to where my friend was.

- Oh look who decided to come guys? - Bella said with two drinks on her hands- Who was that Hottie? – She said winking at me.

I Just ignored her and greeted Matt and with a hesitation I said hi to my lovely partner Bernard. Matt saw the tension between the two of us. And grabbed the drink bella had for me and handed it to me with a smile and I just whisper a "Thank you".

After a couple of drinks the dance floor became the most visited spot for Bella and I, sometimes she made me dance with guys that I did not know, while Matt was looking for more drinks, and Dr. Bernard was just with this not so happy kid expression the whole time, sometimes I felt that he was staring at me and the way Bella and I were having fun and he was just there sitting like a loser. I said this because a girl invited him to dance and he just ignored her, she kept going to our table to invite and he just said no, all the time.

Bella and I went to the bathroom to fix our mess, I just kept looking at myself in the mirror to fix some of the flicks of hair I had messed up, Bella came to me with that Malefic smirk of her.

-Did you see how hot came our not so friendly Bernard and his hottie friend Matt?, even though I'm mad at Dr. Bernard for what he did , you've got to admit he's smoking hot . – Bella said biting her lips.

- I hate you Bella you know that? Why did you do this to me? He looks at me like he would rather be in hell than in heaven dancing with Jesus.

- Ha ! You're funny! that was a good one- Bella said hugging me- Im not kidding haven't you seen him?- C-mon lady the nights still young and so are we. Let's move our booties off .

When we came back the guys were talking and Matt told us that some guy brought some drinks for us, We Just stood there and when we were about to sit and drink, a merengue by Juan luis Guerra came up, I couldn't resist and grabbed Matt's hand and went dancing with him, even tho im not this outgoing when it comes to Juan Luis Guerra , i become a proud Dominican. Bella just kept cheering us up and spilled the drink that was supposed to be for her, so she went to the bar to ask for another drink.

The dance floor was full but Matt and Monserrat could dance perfectly fine, Dr. Bernard was so focused looking at them that he mistook his drink for the one that was supposed to be Monserrat's. When the song ended, Matt came with a wide smile on his face and Monserrat was a bit blushed.

-Man! She's got Latin blood, I just proved it – Matt said clapping.- You should go dancing with her Man- He told Dr. Bernard.

- Maybe, after this drink- Dr. Bernard said. – I opened my eyes surprised when I heard him say that, is he alright? Girls came over here to dance with him and when Matt tells him to dance with me he's totally cool with it.

-Where's Bella? – I tell Matt. – She went for another drink- Dr. Bernard tells me with a cold reply.

-Alright thanks! - I just said.

When Bella came back, she came with this spirit of a wild animal, we got to the dance floor once again and matt came this time, we danced to merengue, bachata, even techno. When we were about to sit the song "hey mama- Camila Cabello feat J balvin filled up the room, and I started moving my hips to this song like I was dancing in my shower, when I felt a pair of hands on my waist, I looked at the person who was behind me , it was Dr.bernard, smiling and dancing with me , since Bella told me to not to say no to anyone I accepted it , and I keep dancing with him. I grabbed his softly hair and moved my hips around him. Bella just stood there surprised and smiling.

- I didn't know you were quite a dancer- I told him.

- It's surprising I know! – He said getting closer to my ear- You are not so bad yourself, you look amazing tonight by the way. When I felt him getting closer to my neck, I stepped back and took him  back to the table where we were sitting.

-Hey! You Party pooper! What's wrong? What happened – Bella said a bit confused. I went straight to matt to tell him what's going on with Dr. Bernard, he was acting weird. Matt just shrugged his shoulders, and I just saw how the face of Dr. Bernard went to cheeky little bastard to the angry face I know but his drink was kind of different.

-Can you pass me your drink? – I told him- What? – He spat back. I grabbed his drink and put one finger on it, when I saw that my nail polish changed, I just made an O, and found out what was going on, clearly someone drugged Dr. Bernard, I knew he was not like this.

-Whats going on Monserrat? What happened to Edward? - Matt told me a bit worried. – He's drugged, is he into those things? - I whispered to matt

– Hell no, are you serious? – He spat back

-We've got to .... – Bella came in a bit wasted and went to me to grab me to the dance floor. – Bella we have to go! Something's going on.- I don't care monse ! I want to keep dancing. It's our night- She said a bit numb.

Matt came into me and told me that Dr. Bernard doesn't want to go with him, he told me to please convince him and I said that it was okay but I couldn't leave my friend Bella like that, and Matt just told me that he would take her home if I took care of his friend.

When I was about to go to Dr. Bernard's sit, he came up to me and told me to take him home, he was numb and he couldn't even move, deep down doesn't he know its that I had no idea where he lived, so I had to take him to my house.

On our way home, he just kept looking out of the window, and remained silent, when I told him we arrived home , he just went to where I guided him, I told him to sleep on the bed, and he just throw himself on my bed and fell into a deep and restful sleep.

-Who'd have thought that I will save your ass tonight my dearly partner?- I thought.
