His Apprentice

Chapter Three

I woke up and rubbed my eyes, it had been almost two weeks since Joker had kidnapped my friends and I from the lunchroom at school. So far I had figured out that Violet was Edward Nygma's Apprentice, and Shayna was Two Face's Apprentice....I told them about my situation with Jonathan also and how I was his Apprentice. They thought I was crazy for being his Apprentice, and not being glad I was away from him. I honestly didn't see Johnathan as a scary guy, sure he loved fears and all but he was alright when you got to know him. I looked around the room to see Shayna and Violet missing from their beds, "Violet? Shayna?" I called as I got up and walked to the door...peeking out into the hallway. Joker was standing there with Harley, Violet and Shayna, and Harley was swinging her bat around with a smirk "We are gonna play a fun game, it's kinda like tag!" Harley giggled "You guys run around the fun house and if I catch ya....You'll wish you would have ran faster!" Joker spotted me and pulled me out of the room "You can play too ,Ang" He said, then let out his famous laugh. Yep, I still wanna kill him every time he laughs like that. "More friends, means more fun!!!" Harley giggled "Ill give ya ten seconds, starting now! One....Two.....Three...." I sprinted down the hallway with Violet and Shayna at my sides. "That girl is freaking crazy!" Shayna said. Violet muttered agreement then I said "she's far past crazy, she's pyscho no doubt about it." We ran deeper into the fun house and hid. "Ten!" I heard Harley's high pitched voice scream from nearby. "I just want Eddie...." Violet muttered looking down a tear running down her cheek "I actually miss him....". Shayna hugged her "We will get outta here, I'm sure Harvey has been looking everywhere for me....And Eddie probably has been hunting for you to , V.". I looked down the halls to see if Harley was coming, still no sight or sound of her....I swear if the blonde headed bimbo hit me with that bat, I was gonna take it from her and get her a few times... then if Joker showed up and tried to pull me away from her , I'd give his pale ass a few hits.

The "game" with Harley lasted for about thirty minutes, she only found us once but didn't manage to hit any of us because I'd knock the bat out of her hand so we could run again. Now we were all sitting around the breakfast table with the clown prince of crime and his henchmen, I took a bite of the waffle...It tasted quite stale, like the other foods he had been feeding us. "If you want us to like it here, give us better food" I said, looking over at him. He glared slightly and chuckled "The thing is I want this place to be absolute torture to you all". I rolled my eyes and choked the rest of the stale waffle down before taking a drink of the water to wash it down. Even the water was awful, it tasted as if it had been left in the open for days. Violet played n her food, while Shayna worked on her second waffle. Shayna had always ate almost everything, she had even enjoyed the fish from the lunchroom.

One of the henchmen ran into the kitchen, his cheek red from someone's hand "B-Boss someone is here for you" He managed to say before he hit the floor with a blood curdling scream, he then started muttering under his breathe about spiders. I knew whose work this was, My eyes brightened a little....Johnny had actually came for me! Joker got up quickly, along with the other henchmen. I heard Johnny's boots clicking the floor as he headed for the kitchen, I also realized he had other people with him because I could also hear their steps. Joker loaded his machine gun and focused it on the entrance to the kitchen "Crane, If that is you....I wouldn't enter this kitchen, I have plenty of men and guns in here." There wasn't no response but the footprints kept coming, I soon saw the familiar skinny figure of Johnathan along with two figures beside him in which I didn't know. "Alright, J.... I'm here to collect what is mine. Now hand her over" I heard Johnny say, my heart stopped as he called me his. Sure he probably just meant Apprentice wise but it still made me feel special. I could tell he had his mask on because it made his voice deeper and what some people would call scarier. "She's mine now" Joker replied, cocking the gun. "Shoot the gun....Go ahead. Don't think we didn't bring back up also" Another voice said, Making Violet's eyes light up. "Eddie!" Violet muttered happily, I let a small giggle and Joker glared my way for a split second before focusing back on the guys figures. "Now....Just hand over the girls and we won't have no problem here" Another deep voice said, which I'm guessing was the only other figure left. "Over my dead body" Joker snarled, "As much as I hate to say this, We could arrange that" Johnathan spoke stepping out of the shadows and into the light along with Two Face and Riddler.
